Well this started as 7 sentences but a few more popped up as I was transcribing it with added context and yet hopefully fewer spoilers.
So here's this teaser thing for Stray from a future chapter that is yet far, far, away...
This... this didn't make any damn sense. This was all too confusing and emotionally draining.
Light just wanted to drop their armor and slink away into the crowd, to go home, but that was impossible at the moment given their current company.
"Oh hey! It's you!"
"...oh great," just what they needed--it was the Spider-Brat again. Why did he always seem to drop into their lives at the most inopportune times?
Ryan, we should have left him there, Ryuk grumbled darkly in response to his human's growing distress.
Light winced at the suggestion and the memories that came unbidden (hooked up to the machines/fire ravaging through his veins/the SCREAMING...)
No. He's an annoyance, true, but he didn't deserve all that.

1. Mess around, create a new playlist for Stray, my Death Note x Venom found family au fic instead of writing.
2. Try to find new music for the playlist, find tracks I haven't heard before, but also use a lot of songs listened to for years because they fit so well.
3. End up focusing a lot on the yet to be written lawlight plotline... oops.
4. Attempt to post it to tumblr and tumblr eats the post.😭
