Still Me

Hey there, it’s me, striges13. I changed my URL. Kickstarter and preorder editions of my book will be arriving on Monday with this URL listed for me in the back. I made a tumblr with this URL and then did absolutely nothing with it, so two days before Absolutely Necessary I just changed this one. 

It’s still Saturday where I live. Woo procrastination strikes again.

I kept striges13 as a URL (woot sideblogs) so feel free to tag either one and tumblr will notify me, barring tumblr weirdness. It seems to be suggesting this blog as a sub for the old URL, so maybe it’s doing something right for a change.

But the assignments, or something resembling them, have been submitted. And the world can continue being relieved that I am not going into finance.

Thank you! Now that you mention it, I think you’re right.  Actually, when tidying up, I found a book with very simple characters for drawing practices for children, that I bought for my son a while ago. I wondered if I could use the simple shapes to get some recognizable swtor characters. It’s fun for a beginner like me.

I SOLD A STORY

Really truly. I am an official, published author.

My story, "Raveling", will appear in the upcoming anthology The Death of all Things published by Zombies Need Brains LLC. All the stories feature Death as a character in an interesting and unusual way. They specifically asked for no gore, so I'm sure it's fine for the squeamish. I totally include myself in that category.

Preorders for the Kickstarter limited edition are available at their online store, the Zombies Need Brains Shop. It is available for preorder as both paperback and ebook in various formats. There will also be a general release trade paperback and ebook (again, multiple formats) appearing later, about a month after the kickstarter version ship. The editors and publisher have been great to work with and my experience as a whole has been fantastic. I'm so excited! Other authors set to appear in this anthology include: Stephen Blackmoore, Aliette de Bodard, Christie Golden, Jim C. Hines, Jason M. Hough, Faith Hunter, Juliet E. McKenna, and Fran Wilde. And me!!!

I want to say thanks to all my friends from tumblr and the swtor sfc thread. You were the first non-family I shared my work with, and without your feedback and encouragement I wouldn't be making this post.  Thanks so very much.

Yeah, so did I. But now they’re back. Like cockroaches. I guess Tumblr has plenty of time to update things that didn’t need updating (like the notifications, which broke the ability to reply. Thanks, Tumblr!) but no time to deal with gross bots. *gives Tumblr a middle finger salute*

I have to write a short bio for Death of all Things. I looked at other bios for examples and just...ugh. I must be the most boring person on the planet. I can't think of anything someone might want to know about me that isn't impossibly dull.  I need help. So, hey, tumblr friends, what kinds of things would you find interesting to know?
