If you're interested in creativity and/or journalling; Struthless on YouTube (aka Campbell Walker) makes some interesting videos about those kinds of things. E.g. this one about backing yourself with regards to creating and sharing things! He's also written some books.

But my favourite video of his might be his documentary about writing a country song

(and also maybe about failure/unfollowed dreams, and the visceral gut-punch you get when a piece of art/media strikes a chord with you)

Much to my own dismay I tend to listen exclusively to country music these days (will calling it western make it sound cooler?). I have a tendency to listen to one song or artist or genre on repeat in general anyway, but I've been obsessed with various country artists for at least the past 3 years

so there's this excellent artist and YouTuber named struthless (or Cam as we know him!) who for many years now has been providing all kinds of amazing advice for artists, freelancers, and creatives. he's been a favourite of mine and my partner's for a long while 💖 unfortunately, struthless has recently come into a rough financial situation due to a bad contract. the poor guy is in debt and struggling to keep his head above water, even though he's been continuing to make amazing videos for us all to enjoy. as a freelancer, my heart breaks for him - i've gotten jobs because of his advice, and also know how easy it can be to get into this situation because of one exploitative contract!! 🙏 so if anyone is a fan, appreciates the work that artists like him do, or is just feeling generous, please consider donating to his Gofundme or sharing this video. we artists have got to have each other's backs 🔥

I am getting worse a schedule as I go along. I am going to go easy on myself because it has been a busy few weeks. I got a new lodger, and a kitten, injured my knee, failed my driving test, and applied for a new job. All in all personal art fell on the back burner.

Going to try and catch up to the current superset week but I will make no promises. If anyone doing the challenge has any advice on catching up it would be greatly appreciated. Or anyone at all for that matter.

HELLO I know I've been gone for a while, the thing I was worried would happen happened, which is that I got slightly behind with the Alphabet Superset, and this evolved into just *not doing it* :0 BUT I am trying to change that! This one has been done for a while now, I was keeping it in the vault because I thought I'd fix some of the weird perspective stuff, but never mind, I'm just hoping the concept makes up for the lack of technical merit. (...and I wonder why I don't improve as an artist /hj)
