If Stuart Redman from The Stand 2020 was the one assigned to escort Ellie Williams to the Fireflies, how would they fare compared to Joel?
Gets emotionally attached / successfully escorts Ellie to the hospital
Gets emotionally attached / dies on the way to the hospital
Doesn’t get emotionally attached / successfully escorts Ellie to the hospital
Doesn’t get emotionally attached / dies on the way to the hospital
Regardless of attachment, they survive the trip but Ellie dies under their care
How would he have handled the Firefly hospital massacre:
I mean, he already broke out if one hospital where he was literally a guinea pig ( that's one of the ways they knew he was immune, had a guinea pig breathing the same air) plus taking down a guy built like a brick shithouse even when Stu"s attacker was infected by captain trips. So if he can break out of an underground CDC bunker early on in the apocalypse, he surely can rescue someone he cares about and massacre to get them out. Mayne less militant than joel but he still could do it.
