Imagine losing a visa because you saved a meme… and then that meme gets brought up in another country’s parliament. Peak globalization.
News is starting to spread about a new development this past week: people on student visas across the country are having their status in the United States summarily revoked.
The way this is happening is, as our in-house immigration attorney put it, unprecedented and unconstitutional.
If your status has been revoked, contact an immigration attorney IMMEDIATELY. You are currently removable from and inadmissible to the United States — meaning that if you leave they won’t let you back in, and if ICE takes you into custody they can detain and deport you. The only solution to this is to get an immigration attorney to file on your behalf.

Keep an eye out for Ford SUVs without the roof rack, because those are law enforcement cars (impossible to get without the roof rack as a civilian). ICE agents dress in plain clothes and try to remain unnoticed as much as possible. They use ruses to get into your home. We have FOIA documents made public about their tactics.
At this point, we don’t know why these particular people have been targeted. Some have misdemeanor criminal convictions that previously would not have been removable offenses. For some, the suspicion is that it’s social media or protest activity.
So if it’s you, consider that you may have to get off social media and stop attending protests. Be very careful in places where you’re scheduled to be, like court hearings. From the beginning, DOGE’s true mission has been about data — collecting massive amounts of personal information on Americans. Now, that data is being turned against immigrants.
At the center of this effort is Antonio Gracias, a longtime Elon Musk confidante. Though he holds no official government position, Gracias is leading a specialized DOGE task force focused on immigration. His team has embedded engineers and staff across nearly every corner of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
But it doesn’t stop there.
DOGE operatives have also been quietly placed inside other federal agencies like the Social Security Administration and the Department of Health and Human Services — agencies that store some of the most sensitive personal data in the country, including on immigrants.
DOGE engineers now working inside DHS include Kyle Schutt, Edward Coristine (nicknamed “Big Balls”), Mark Elez, Aram Moghaddassi, and Payton Rehling. They’ve built the technical foundation behind a sweeping plan to revoke, cancel visas, and rewire the entire asylum process.
One of the most disturbing aspects of this plan? Flagging immigrants as “deceased” in the Social Security system — effectively canceling their SSNs. Without a valid Social Security number, it becomes nearly impossible to open a bank account, get a job, or even apply for a loan. The goal? Make life so difficult that people “self-deport.”
And if you’re marked as dead in the Social Security system, good luck fixing it. There’s virtually no path back — it’s a bureaucratic black hole.
You might ask: why do immigrants, asylum seekers, or refugees even have Social Security numbers? Because anyone authorized to work in the U.S. legally is issued one. It’s not just for citizens. It’s essential for participating in modern life — jobs, housing, banking, taxes. Without it, you’re locked out of society.
Last week, this plan was finalized in a high-level White House meeting that included DHS Secretary Kristi Noem, Antonio Gracias, senior DOGE operatives, and top administration officials.
In recent weeks, the administration has moved aggressively to strip legal protections from hundreds of thousands of immigrants and international students — many of whom have been living and working in the U.S. legally for years.
At the core of this crackdown? Data.
DOGE has access to your SSN, your income, your political donations — and more. What was once sold as a tool for “government efficiency” has become something else entirely: a weaponized surveillance machine.
And if you think this ends with immigrants, think again.

The Justice Department announced that it was working to develop new guidelines after students racked up wins in court.

Facing mounting courtroom losses over student visa revocations, the Justice Department announced that it was backing down and would manually restore many student visas while it developed new policy guidelines for their removal. The surprise reversal came after thousands of foreign students had their immigration records abruptly terminated in the federal system that keeps track of them, which is maintained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or ICE. The terminations meant that the students were suddenly vulnerable to deportation, with some unable to figure out what they had done wrong. Some of the students appeared to be flagged for participation in pro-Palestine demonstrations while others had minor legal infractions on their records, many of which had been thrown out.
The about-face marks an unexpected defeat in President Donald Trump’s war on immigration. During a Friday morning hearing in federal court, a federal prosecutor read a statement from ICE noting it was “developing a policy that will provide a framework for SEVIS record terminations,” referencing the system that tracks students’ immigration status, called the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System.
The evil 47 Regime has been forced to concede on the student visas, as numerous student vias wrongly terminated have been reinstated.
