study with me 📚 study session after working 📝
Im going to try my darnest to do 100 days of productivity because theorically, if i manage it, that would make my semester since that's about the time I have left until Christmas break and finals. So here we go. The first time-lapse is kind of short, since i did 2h of studying this day (and also it's a ypt time-lapse so it's generally shorter)
Day 1/100
Basically a bunch of readings for my literature teaching internship
Mon, Jan 22.
I don't know why... I feel like I'm again becoming the same person I was like I was before 😞 it really is very frustrating . I know that I should be studying but I just end up using Instagram, YouTube ,Pinterest as if I don't have anything to study for😫 ...Why am I like this
So I just have decided to uninstall Instagram (uses 90% of the time) and I have decided to do a small productive challenge
Productivity challenge:
🥠 use To-do app
🥠 Use a pomodoro technique app
🥠 Atleast ✅ 5 Task (minimum) per day
🥠 Post my productivity challenge update here.
🥠 Taking a Break day is also allowed 😉

My new floor desk setup
30 days of productivity
I got my standing desk converter yesterday but it works perfectly as a floor desk. I love it so far, although it doesnt have a lot of space.
(Not religious btw, the crucifix is on my wall cos it looks nice)
How I memorize information
My go to method is to talk to myself aloud. But to be honest, I have a tough time sitting still & reading through my notes and saying them aloud. It’s just so boring, ahah. I guess I’m more of a kinesthetic type of learner.
So here are my tips on keeping memorization entertaining, and keeping you focused on the information.
self-testing
Test yourself by actively recalling what you just studied. Take a break & go for a walk, try to think of everything you’ve learned in your last study session. This helps to understand the areas you’re struggling with; you can then go back to memorize those areas.
2. walking or standing
This is something I learned from my logopedist a long time ago. And I still use it to this day. When you notice yourself getting fired up or just not being able to concentrate; just walk around your room or stand up and try again. Or try memorizing while walking. For some reason, this helps my brain to calm down. It helps me think, and focus; so I’m able to memorize a lot better.
3. fidgeting
This has also to do with me being a kinesthetic learner. When I keep my hands busy with a mindless exercise I’m able to focus on my studying way better. I get less distracted by random things around my room. Even research shows that physical activity helps your brain to control focus and attention. Even some foot-tapping or gum chewing may help to block out distractions, fight boredom, and increase productivity.
4. writing
When writing you make a direct connection between your hand & your brain. While writing tries to rewrite or reorganize the lecture. Also, saying what you’re writing down out loud can help you memorize.
