resources for things to do in quarantine
watch a movie you’ve been meaning to watch. whether you finally use that free month of Netflix, watch some Asian films here, or watch some pandemic-related movies here, there are a lot of wonderful films and shows out there you can watch to relax.
read a book, or three. while Scribd is offering one free month to read their books, here’s a list of websites where you can read some books online for free, and here’s a drive full of miscellaneous e-books.
take an online class. whether you use Skillshare, Coursera, Udemy, IBM or edX, you’ll be able to find tons of classes out there. here is a list of some free, short courses you can take, and here is a link to some online classes/ downloadables you can get for free. you can also check out some art classes here, and more online classes from this post here
learn something new for fun. if you’re interested in learning more about the topics you’re really interested in, here is a link to some textbooks on social science, and here is a list of places to get free books/textbooks
listen to some new music. if there’s ever been a time to discover some new tunes, it’s now! here is a way to listen to all the music you’ve ever reblogged, and here are some interesting concept playlists to enjoy
cook! if your resources are limited during this time, check out Apocalyptic Cooking for some cheap and easy-to-make recipes. you can also check out this post for more cheap recipes, or this post on how to make that trendy Dalagona coffee you’ve been seeing around recently (here’s a link to some decaffeinated versions too!)
journal. if you’ve been feeling stressed lately, you can let it all out in a journal. here is a link to some journaling prompts, and here is a video about how to get into journaling
learn some new computer skills. whether you’ve been meaning to learn programming, graphic design, or drawing, here is a list of open source tools you can use online (it’s so extensive so it’s okay if it’s the only thing here)
play some new games. there’s nothing like having just a bit of fun durng this really confusing period of time. here is a list of relaxing games you can play on your phone, and here is a list of games you can play with your friends
take care of your mental health. in this scary time, it’s hard not to feel here is a list of some ways to change things up, and here is a video on maintaining your mental health during this pandemic.

so in the midst of everything going on right now, i’ve found that distracting myself a bit helps with my mental health, especially in such a confusing and honestly scary point of time. with that, i’ve compiled a list of some things you can do while in quarantine to stay productive, whether to distract yourself or to learn something new!
