I imagine she'd be a bit of everything. Study hard, put in the work, then get comfortable, relax, then freak out and cram the night before. She's smart enough that she could probably get away with just cramming and winging it, but there's just enough of her mom's voice in her head keeping her insecure that she stays up on her studies. (Until she starts partying more and realizes how much more fun that is.)

Right though? She always struck me as having such pervasive self-doubt over not being the golden child, feeling like nothing’s ever enough, that she’d overcompensate by working her ass off.

I wonder about that, actually. What tipped her towards being “not much of a scientist anymore”?

Maybe after years and years of never feeling good enough, she’d thrown in the towel, said, “well fuck this shit”, drank like hell, and might have ended up in deeper shit if it hadn’t been for J’onn.
