I may attempt hard mode but I do not have it in me to attempt classic mode. Permadeath is what kept me away from all the previous FEs! It stresses me out and I don’t like it!
Yeah, I could never do permadeath! (I still use Divine Pulse most of the time when someone dies though) I’m playing on Hard Mode right now, and in my third playthrough (as Blue Lions) I’m gonna try... Maddening... and might hate myself for it...

I think I grieved for my grandfather more before he died then after. He had Parkinson's and dementia, and towards the end he had lost so much and was so frail, and I could see how sad and scared it made him. When he did die, he at least wasn't in pain or scared anymore. So yes, especially with diseases, grieving for the living is completely normal.

And for the person in the notes who took issue: I’m not actually talking about grieving for the kid you imagined and wanted. (I have Complicated Thoughts about that, but I don’t want to Discourse on that here. Feel free to ask me to make a new post if you’d like to know what I think about that.)
I’m saying that when people ARE Discoursing about that, some of them have the unfortunate tendency to advise people not to grieve someone who’s not dead, which makes sense given the point they’re trying to make but may not be helpful given that’s not how even paradigmatic grief actually works.

This one is hard since usually I’ll only watch something if I’m reasonably sure I’m going to enjoy it. So this is a mix of truly terrible titles, some of which I only caught a couple episodes because someone else was watching it, and stuff that wasn’t necessarily bottom of the barrel bad but I didn’t enjoy as much as I had hoped.
