At one point, Nathan Fillon wanted to play Hal Jordan in a film. The closest he got was providing Hal’s voice in 6 direct to video animated movies. He might have been good as a heroic live action Hal, but we will never know.
Instead, Fillon is playing an entirely different Green Lantern in the upcoming Superman movie from James Gunn. I guess Fillon settle for playing another “joke” character - like he did in Gunn’s “THE Suicide Squad” where we saw him as Arms-Fall-Off-Boy.
Certainly Guy Gardner as been depicted as an idiot in comics. And that’s what Fillon is depicting in every photo I’ve seen of him with that stupid wig. Fillon is playing another a punch line to a joke that’s on him.
BTW - everyone seems to forget that James Gunn’s “THE Suicide Squared” was a box office bomb, only making $167 million in ticket sales against a $185 million budget.
