I actually went out today to celebrate the warmer weather! Pictured is the most expensive hot chocolate I've ever had and the Margaret Cavendish philosophy book I'm still working through.

mock test for open book exam!
that was a disaster!!!
i realised i’ll fail with open book exam! i am so poor in reading and writing simultaneously, no hand-eye coordination!! and i messed up the pdf and forgot to mention total no. of sheets and let’s include some more blunders! but it was just mock so i’ll do better in finals.
i’ll just do it on my own, without the book.
i’ll fail if i cheat even though it’s allowed!!
today was😭😭
Today I actually finished reading Paper Towns by John Green. I used to love John Green’s work but I slowly started to lose interest as I began thinking his stories were always the same, and his characters were always the same but I actually enjoyed this book.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s still a very similar narrative to those of John Green and in some parts I just felt there was an unnecessary amount of “quirky” things we were supposed to relate to but don’t really do. It started a bit slow and, I’m not going to lie, I actually thought it was somewhat boring at first. However, around the middle of the book (almost heading to the end) I really enjoyed the characters’ interactions with each other and it got me absorbed into their little adventures.
Overall, I think it was a good book but maybe my 14 year old self would have enjoyed it way more than my current self does.
#Wellness
Ever since the beginning of the quarantine I’ve been feeling a bit overhelmed by all the ads popping on my facebook and other social media, telling me to #stay active and #stay motivated, offering all those free courses online, in drawing, fitness, coding, excel, business, free this, free that, telling me that I shouldn’t waste time and do something productive with my “free” time.
But I don’t really have more free time than I had before. I still have to work remotely and I still have classes online to attend and give. Nothing’s changed, except for the fact that now I do all of that from home.
That’s why for quite some time now I wanted to share my thoughts on this matter. I know I’m not the first one to do that, but I feel like this is really important.
Remember, you don’t have to do any of that. You don’t have to sign up for any of those courses being thrown in your face, you don’t have to learn 10 new languages and you don’t have to become a MasterChef or a fitness queen during this time.
It’s okay to feel down. It’s okay to feel worried. Don’t feel bad if you aren’t as productive as you used to be. It’s normal to feel worried in a time of crisis.
Try do work on your mental health, do things that make you happy and allow you to relax. You can try picking up a new skill or two, or dusting off an old hobby you gave up because you didn’t have enough time to do it. But you don’t have to. Binge-watching Netflix or listening to music is just as good if it calms you down and takes your mind off the bad things. So is cleaning your house or taking a long shower.
Remember, prioritize your wellness and always take care!
