first time posting here

okay. hello all!

currently, my home is running on a generator my dad helped set up along with my childhood toon (surprised she still stuck by me all this time) and i am praying that the internet that they've implemented in our street works properly enough for me to post this.

as of right now, this neighborhood is currently run down and barren. there used to be so much in this town i called home but right now it's just. nothing. sure, people are still here but they're so sparse here that you might as well call this a ghost town. i just hope one day people would show up here, even if it's people i don't know from back then.

i guess for the time being i'm going to try and make this blog some sort of a diary here until i can make my website a bit more... polished i should say.

// i am absolutely nervous starting up a blog like this because this has a LOT to do with my stylized lore AU for toontown that i still need to piece together as well as make a lot of stuff for!! but i decided to go with the flow and start posting things for this AU even if it's just something as small as writing or even little text posts

kindofbutnotreally 1950s au where kyle is a stereotypical greaser and stan is a stereotypical jock and their groups HATE each other but stan and kyle are in love and dating in secret while keeping up the mortal enemy shit in public

literally can’t stop thinking about the very first style au i came up with that has texan semi-country boy stan and urban british exchange student kyle so i decided to make a post about it. more under the cut

kyle gets sent to america on exchange from his third form preparatory college by his father, who somehow thinks that familiarizing kyle with the way the other half live would be beneficial for ridding him of his nearly wholly academic neo-socialist ideals 

kyle arrives just days before the new school year is set to begin and is almost unbearably bristly for the first few days he is there

kyle moves into shelley's old bunk bed which she coincidentally shared with stan; stanley was forced to move to the bottom bunk because of his ever-increasing height and the fact that, well, the top bunk is substantially cooler 

the thing that kyle finds the most strange about his new quasi-home is the overtly conservative populace; he feels unsettled by the various road crucifixes and the general oddity of the town they live in and asks stan about one in particular, one labeled kenneth mccormick in hand-detailed paint. strangely, athough stanley (always stanley from kyle's mouth, never stan)  grows gravely quiet and disturbed, he simply says oh, kenny? he'll come back and offers kyle an earbud playing the clash 

kyle only finds grits slightly bearable and refuses to eat more than one serving every other day. he is disgusted to find that he actually likes vegetarian biscuits and gravy, but will admit that sharon’s macaroni and cheese is one of his new favorite foods

it’s not absolutely unclear to kyle how and why sheila and sharon marsh were anything close to friends during sharon’s subsidized one year exchange to a master’s program at oxford, given that they have somewhat complimentary personalities. however, why sharon marsh (described glowingly as a very intelligent and level headed woman by his mother on the ride to heathrow airport) would marry an absent penny-ante traveling seismographer named randy completely mystifies him, and he doesn’t want to ask stan for fear of being invasive

the marshes have goats that headbutt each other and surround stan almost as soon as he walks in the gate to their pen; one female goat named sprinkles insists on sitting on kyle’s new-jean-clad lap and ruining an eighty dollar pair of pants with her muddy feet. kyle learns to love her eventually anyway

another goat is named john elway. she is a girl. stan refuses to explain to kyle how he made this mistake as a young boy of eight, only continually asserting that the name fits her perfectly

a mean spirited goose named champion that tries to bite kyle every time he’s voluntold to feed the animals also makes frequent appearances despite kyle’s desperate attempts to avoid it

notable is the time when kyle encounters an opossum and pokes it with his finger thinking it dead only to be met with hysterical laughter from stan when the opossum lets out a hiss and chases kyle across the yard
