I must say, its fricking adorable how Omega tries to comfort a crying Hope. He was built for combat, but he does his best. The very fact that Hope puts her hand against his metal plating shows that she appreciates him regardless! Its also sad that this is the last we see of Snively’s sister Hope before the reboot...

Nothing seems to be going well for Snively and his plans of winning over Hope and eventually the Iron Queen, but Eggman is still on his tail and seems to have a plot of his own.

I guess we’ll see the Iron Queen again in #39 coming up!

Back with Eggman in his “Scambled” arc, he seems to be having a blast. I gotta say, these covers are pretty fun, especially compared to how serious #37′s looked.

G.U.N using Omega for their operations was never something we got to see much. But I’m happy to see more of the destruction-loving, sarcastic Archie!Omega!

Well, bloody damn. Hope never catches a break, huh. I feel so bad for her, but the fact that she wishes to stop Snively and the Eggman Empire in any way she can just shows how committed she is to G.U.N and the side of good, even after her brother Snively tries to tempt her to the villain’s side.

Also, homeboy tried to throw a grenade at his sister. Wtf

While Eggman fighting G.U.N and sending his forces to take down Omega is the backdrop, the main crux of the story is Snively meeting his half-sister Hope Kintobor again. Remember, the last time the two interacted was back when Snively betrayed her and Knothole to join Eggman and decimate her former home.

Its certainly nice to see more sides of Snively in these recent issues, including the side that wishes to reconcile with Hope. Also, did I mention I love the way Peppers draws these two??

As if that stunt wasn’t the worst thing Omega had to deal with in stopping him from fighting Eggman’s robots, he also has trouble targeting the (Roboticized and now-evil) Princess Sally, which leaves him open to attack!

Also, its odd to see Metal Sonic fire a chest laser from...his back? It kind of looks like he’s just chilling, otherwise.

Man, I mean, I know Hugo Brass was a bland character before, but now he’s really bland in the personality department. At least its played for laughs, this time.
