I just had an idea that I wish I had thought of sooner, but what if instead of dying, Atlas teleported both the Swap Force AND HIMSELF to Earth, and is now just... Alive-

Oh he is going THROUGH IT during the Swap Force game-

Atlas was bitten by a fire viper right before the volcano erupted and, since he wasn't blasted off with the rest of his team in the og timeline, the venom that was untreated for hours was what ultimately killed him. But if he was transported to Earth, the effects of the venom would've been frozen too, only for the symptoms to come back once he arrived to Skylands again. Thankfully, he'd be given medical treatment before any lasting damage happened.

Not even with the "nearly dying from a 100 year old snake bite situation," within a couple of hours Atlas found out that:

His spouse and daughter are now dead

His uncle is now a spirit stuck between worlds

His daughter, who was 15 when he last saw her, grew up, got married, and had a child

Dude is straight up not having a good time. But the rest of the SWAP Force and Kiren help him get through it.

And that's not even tackling the fact that the rest of the Skylanders and Kiren are grappling with the fact that Kiren's grandfather, who was thought to be dead for the last century, is back.

Plus, he probably gained the ability to swap along with the rest of his team.

He'd also gladly accept Jet Vac as part of the family since he was Yue's best friend and he's been taking care of Kiren after she died.

As for the Rattle Shake situation...I feel like Rattle would probably wait for years before finally confessing his feelings to Atlas. It'd be pretty weird to bring up your romantic feelings after someone's spouse just died.

What is Kiren, Spitfire, and Spyro's sibling dynamic like

This is important information

I've said this before but I'll say it again: Spyro is the obnoxious older brother that playfully teases you almost all the time but will kill for you and help you hide a body.

Spyro sees a lot of himself in Spitfire and he will always view Kiren as his baby sister, so he tries to give them the support they need while also pushing them to be the best they can. He's especially protective of the both of them, but especially Kiren when she was younger.

While Kiren does look up to Spyro, she also grew up with him and can call him out when she feels he's making a wrong call. (which is rather rare nowadays)

Spitfire was honestly a bit star struck whenever he interacted with Spyro at first but eventually their relationship became more casual and familial.

Kiren and Spirfire immediately just clicked. They worked together so well on their first mission together it almost seemed like they were reading each other's minds. It's part of why they share command of the Superchargers.

All three are super protective of each other and they lean on each other for support, whether it be in battle, leadership, or just emotional stuff.

You mentioned before that Wash Buckler, Rattle Shake, and Night Shift were on a skylander team before being assigned to the SWAP Force. You mind elaborating?

Long before the Swap Force was even a concept, two Air Skylanders named Sky-Singer and Thunder Blitz, a Magic Skylander named Heartcross, and a Fire Skylander named Heat Haze were a Skylander team called the Skykeepers, and were dedicated to maintaining peace amongst the residents of Skylands, rather than just fighting off evil (though they were known to do that too). When Reif Harford-Freeman(Wash Buckler), was found by Master Eon, he was assigned to this team as the Skylander Waveblade.

He quickly found a home among them, finding some semblance of happiness and purpose in protecting people and finding solutions to they're problems(and occasionally stopping wars before they started). He grew especially close to Thunder Blitz, the team leader's right hand (and husband). They had absolutely nothing in common, but perhaps that's why they were so close in the first place.

After Waveblade found Wrangler(Rattle Shake) on the recruitment mission I brought up Here, there were some... Things from the previous century that needed to be sorted out, but eventually, Eon agreed that the snake would be an invaluable addition to the Skylanders partially because Cloudcracker prison didn't exist yet, so long as he was telling the truth about wanting to redeem himself. However, if the demon was lying, Waveblade would be held completely responsible, and any damage he caused during the first few years would also be something Waveblade was accountable for. Waveblade didn't mind.

So, Wrangler was put on the Skykeepers team as it's first Dark Skylander, with Waveblade essentially being his parole officer (albeit a very friendly one) and he was NOT FIT FOR THE JOB. In order to easily integrate into the Skykeepers, you have to be either very kind, very patient, or just really good at solving problems without causing more problems. Wrangler wasn't any of those things, and he was absolutely terrified that he would be kicked out on his ass because of that, especially since he was growing attached to Waveblade. But the others were patient with him, even if they didn't really trust him at first.

Eventually, Wrangler befriended Heartcross, and they she helped him truly adjust to his new life among the Skylanders(and realize his feelings for Waveblade much farther down the line). It was actually because of her that Wrangler changed his Skylander name to Basilisk, as the myth of the Copper Basilisk was her favorite story as a child.

Many years later(like almost 200-specifically 180 but who gaf-years later), Shadowstep(Night Shift), was recruited by Master Eon, and tbh he was... Kinda depressed. In all fairness, he had quite literally lost everything after suffering literal centuries of abuse by that point, so it makes sense that he was really jaded. Also, Eon quite literally recruited him at a tavern bar, wtf did he expect.

Anyway, Shadowstep was put on the Skykeepers... Essentially, to recover without retiring, because let's be honest that vampire would NOT wanna stop fighting. Thankfully, unlike Basilisk, he actually adjusted at a fairly reasonable pace, with his time among both elven and vampiric nobility actually helping him for once.

While Shadowstep eventually bonded with everyone on the team, he wasn't very social, and would often slip away to be alone, even when he was having fun. Despite that, he grew incredibly close to Waveblade and Basilisk(who had been dating for about 80 years at that point), and would spend time with the two of them the most.

Everything was almost perfect.

If only Alexander hadn't kidnapped Shadowstep.

So headcanons for Rattle Shake?

He may legitimately be partially insane. He was definitely a sociopath at one point, but he's better now.

Rattle Shake used to be one of Strykore's Skylanders, and he went by the name of Wrangler back then. He deeply regrets those days and considers Wrangler to be his dead name. The fact that he is quite literally dead is a funny coincidence-

That said, he doesn't mind people referring to him as Wrangler when talking about his past as a villain, since he doesn't think he can really deny that that was who he once was.

He had a son before he died, but Strykore made Wrangler think he killed him, so Wrangler killed himself and ended up in Hell for a whole century.

He actually has several different snakes, each for a different type of firearm. The one's he has currently are Ruba(pistol, used the most), another rattlesnake, Raquel(shotgun), a python, a tiny colony of Barbados threadsnakes that collectively refer to themselves as Primero(machine gun), and Solo(bazooka), a King Cobra that's only used in the most dire of situations(or when Rattle is particularly pissed off). Each of them can split into two separate bodies with the same consciousness, but the only one who can withstand this for more than a few hours is Primero, who functions better as a hive mind.

He also has alternative versions of all his firearms that don't fire snakes~

Due to his past, Rattle Shake is feared by the majority of Skylands, and many people outright refuse to trust him under any circumstances. Rattle doesn't mind very much, and will often lean into this fear during interrogations and when they need to rely on intimidation on mission's.

He has a half-brother named Adam Hoffman, the villain known as Scarface. Rattle isn't very attached to him anymore.

His mother, Rubi Solano, died while laying his egg, so he didn't get to meet her until after he died and went to Hell. He honestly kinda wishes he didn't.

His father, Jake "The Reaper" Hoffman, was a horrible man who would blame Rattle Shake and Scarface for everything, pit the brothers against each other out of spite, and almost killed them several times. It was actually Reaper who mutilated Adam's face. Rattle Shake killed him for it, but Adam was so desperate to be loved by they're father (something that Rattle had long given up hope for), that he tried to murder his brother as revenge. He didn't succeed, but Rattle Shake was so afraid of Adam afterwards that he fled the entire island.

While he was still Wrangler, he fell in love with a glasswing butterfly named Alder Undergrove. Wrangler was terrified of these feelings however, both because snakes are taught that love is a weakness and killed for developing romantic feelings, and because he knew Strykore would kill Alder if Wrangler tried to date him.

Unfortunately, Machetis, another one of Strykore's Skylanders (and Wrangler's at the time paramore), discovered that the snake had genuine feelings for the bug, so he reported it to Strykore, who tried to force Wrangler to kill the butterfly, but Wrangler... Couldn't do it. He couldn't bring himself to pull the trigger he couldn't choke the life out of him he couldn't bear to see the life drain from Alder's eyes he couldn't he COULDN'T he couldn't-

So Strykore drained the bug's light. Which is bad when your element is Light. Alder didn't die but... I'm not so sure that what actually happened to him is much better.

Rattle Shake still hasn't forgiven himself, and I'm not sure he ever truly will.

Rattle is incredibly overprotective of his family due to all of the loss he's experienced, both before and after becoming a skylander.

He views Spitfire as his pseudo grandson, since he basically raised the Lindwyrm's father, Smulder. Wash Buckler becoming a mentor to the young leader didn't help😅

Doesn't fall for people very often, but when he does it's very intense and won't go away very easily.

Rattle is bisexual and ambiamorous, and might also be grayromantic(but not graysexual)as well. He's married to Wash Buckler and Night Shift and has been with them for about 200 years.

The three of them actually have several legally adopted children (some of which are still very much they're responsibility despite being adults); Freeze Blade (completely unaware he's they're child), Roller Brawl(and all of her brothers), Bat Spin(who may or may not actually be biological), and Blades(who they share custody of with Bouncer).

Bat Spin is the only one of his children that doesn't constantly trigger his protective side with their antics.

You know the mechanical bull ride you can find in certain bars? He grew up with real ones that were much bigger, much harder to approach, and much more unpredictable. He loved them.

The colony of snakes he utilized in his backstory was actually just Primero. They split into millions of separate bodies several centuries ago. They're still splitting. They will continue splitting. There is no stopping them.
