In progress of subbing.

I’m currently attempting to add subtitles to the OVA of Gakuen Babysitters that @brightersoul2 found. Never added subtitles before, but hopefully I will be finished by the end of this week! I will be using the manga chapters used in the OVA as a guide. Although, I don’t know where I should upload it without getting any copyright strikes. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I know I said that I will be done by this Friday morning, but I had a little trouble and some errands to do. I had a hard time figuring out how to encode the Aegisub subs onto the actual video, as my software is MacOS, but I think I’ve figured everything out! Stay tuned!

Subbing Progress Update (Part 2)

Hello~ Just want to let you know that we haven't stopped subbing the 2nd OAD in its entirety (recap to preview). ☺️ Got sidetracked with all the preparations and celebrations. First draft translations are done, so it will be checked and proofread respectively. Cat has timed and subbed the first half, and I'll redo the ripping one last time so we may have better video quality with one audio channel. So...that's all. It won't take long as long as there are no interruptions from RL. Hang on tight! （≧∇≦）

Subbing Progress Update

It seems like the OAD raw is out, so I’m glad you guys can see it! (I have to explain why I don’t give my own full raws. You see, when I share my own raws, I usually want them to be translated already so there’s less fuss and all. ^^)

As to the translating process, I’m more or less 75% done (Sorry, I just seriously started today since I fell asleep last night >.> I just typed names in order of speaking yesterday—Christmas was hectic). There are some filler scenes, and there’s the review and preview added; a lot of word replacements here and there. So translations are a total of 25 pages currently. (It doesn’t seem that long if you watch it, but trust me, they talked a lot 😂😂😂😂😂.) As to my raws...I’m still learning how to rip...😅 The process itself isn’t very hard, but I’m still learning the perfect settings as my first few tries have jagged lines (like they’re not anti-aliased in PS terms). So it can be either there’s need for deinterlacing or something else. What’s more is that the ep itself is about 720x480 naturally, so it looks small. I want it to be a fuller screen in comp...>.> Basically, I’m trying to make them HQ because it bothers me lol. ^^’ On the other hand, I asked Cat to make time stamps for timing and subbing. 

If you haven’t seen the link for the OAD raws, just head to @catastrophy-cat and you’ll see the link, I believe. ^^ I personally think they did the fallen god part very well. (They upped the level of horror which I don’t think would be very possible if they aired the anime on TV.) The same I think for Tomoe’s creeping at night part. Tomoe says such brutal things in it. (That snake was more detailed than in the manga imo.) And now we understand why Kuromaro’s gender is confusing!!! 

All in all, the voice actors really did well again. Nanami’s emotion was very strong in this one, and it was really moving even if I already read the manga many times. She’s had a hard time in this one, and we all know that’s not the end of it all.

I’ll finish the rest of the translations after work later today~ As for the release, I wish to finish before the New Year. We’ll keep going on, but I have work too before break. So I can’t really promise a date ahead of time. >.>
