Knowing that I will need to import React in every component file motivated me to create a snippet to do this.

Now when typing react plus Tab, the line import React from "react"; is inserted.

Putting an actual blank line inside the snippet definitions translates to the file you are inserting the snippet into, as well. This allows me to get a newline after the the import declaration!
