The Ace Trainer and the Hiker are the same dude. Once he gives you his float stone, he gets fat cause the stone isn't halving his weight anymore.
It woulda been more obvious if they had made a fat ace trainer sprite lol. Of course it wasn't supposed to be obvious but I'd still like to see that tbh
