...But didn't we already do this in Justice For All?
Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to mourn the loss of all my confidence and in matrimony of my fate.
“Vessels” by Subtley
Mrs. Madden, having given birth to six daughters, had fulfilled her function in this wonderful world; for two years she had been resting in the old churchyard that looks upon the Severn sea.
George Gissing, from The Odd Women, with supreme and subtle irony.
An interesting novel, about a little canvassed subject, especially in 1893, when it was published. It tells about five women who are of the upper to middle class, and therefore have no socially acceptable way of supporting themselves, but are without husbands, or much hope of getting one. It may sound a little staid, but the subtle tragedy and humor of the book makes it quite readable.
what's your favourite comfort food?

Subtlety is understated.
Today I was sitting in the park, spoiling myself with a cup of hot coffee and a book. It seemed like a perfect day to give in to the temptation of caffeine and stories. so there at one point, I sat, the "moral of the story" has just sunk in. The best of stories have this magnificent quality of being mysterious, the more you read into them, the clearer it seems to get. But what seems to be our interpretation, can also be perceived in a lot more ways. The simple story of a boy, in search of his balloon, can itself be interpreted in numerous ways. Although subtlety has it's own charisma and smoothness. It's soothing, simple, exasperating and complicated all at the same time. But Subtlety is the beauty and subtlety is the perception.
Subtlety in words, subtlety in affection, subtlety in fashion, subtlety in beauty. subtlety is understated. And I'm loving the irony. because Loud and Clear, I'm all about subtlety.
OKAY.
