childe likes to cook and bake
growing up, childe always lent a helping hand around the kitchen while his siblings were outside playing
and, truth be told, he feels most at home there
so when you come home and see childe in a lovely apron, calmly whisking ingredients together into a thick batter, you’re floored
how could your boyfriend looked so hot cute??? and act so nonchalant about it??? mother fucKER WHY ARE YOU LIKE THIS 🤬
and when he looks up to you???
he literally breaks out into a smile, eyes crinkling up at the very edges
he’s all smiling and warm inside because he’s just so happy to be with his favourite person🥰
ugh, he’s precious sometimes
if you ever want to join in, childe is all for it!
most of the deserts you’re making are for his younger siblings though! be warned!!
and childe does become a little more... distracted while baking with you
while you’re in the kitchen, he wants to be touching you at all times
leaning his head onto your shoulder, hugging your waist with one hand, and hugging you from behind are his top 3, for sure
given the chance, he will pepper kisses into your neck as you mix and measure ingredients
if you happen to mess up because of his actions, childe will mumble an insincere apology
if you are really serious about baking though, childe will be very helpful!
he has a few tricks up his sleeve and knows the perfect way to bake (and cook) something he’s familiar with
if it’s a new recipe though? he’ll still bring the same confidence as before!
“alright, so add one teaspoon of vanilla... hm. babe, how about we swap out the vanilla for some rum? what?! it tastes so much better— arg, fine, fine, i relent! i suppose getting my younger siblings drunk on cookies isn’t a very good idea...”
ayaka likes decorating the deserts you’ve made!
but otherwise, she does not like baking!!
she gets really frustrated with the recipes, as most of the ones she uses are worded strangely or too complicated
she would read the recipe, follow the instructions, measure everything EXACTLY to the grain
....except... she’d still mess up along the way
but hey!! you still get cookies in the end!! they just don’t taste/feel like expected!
so, she sticks with decoration
and a small section of ayaka’s kitchen is just reserved for that, actually!
she only ever uses it whenever you bake though
and she loves, loves, loves watching you bake
ayaka will happily stand in the kitchen with you, simply enjoying your presence😌
and, no matter your experience with baking, she’ll love to call you some sweet related nicknames (sweetie, honey, and rarely honey-buns)
it’s a very calming experience for her!
even if you get distracted and almost burnt down the kitchen!! she’s never been more calm in her life, don’t worry!

yun jin doesn't bake often... but she would with you!
mostly because it’s an excuse to touch you, due to the small kitchen space
but she won’t let you know that, of course😉
although, you have a sneaking suspicion yun jin enjoys leaning her head on your shoulder more than the actual baking...
oh, and besides trying to be close to you, yun jin does try to dance with you too!
while your pastries are baking, she’ll gladly take your hands and twirl you around
it doesn’t matter if yun jin makes up a dance on the spot or if each careful step and twirl are apart of some ancient dance— she makes the moment special
she’ll still smile and laugh with you as she spins you around and around
and you won’t notice this, of course, but yun jin doesn’t let go of you until the dance is over
truthfully, she never really wants the dances to end but... the pastries cannot be burned☹️
and when you do need yun jin’s help, she’s more than willing!
she practically dances on her own whenever she fetches ingredients and tools around the kitchen
and if yun jin ever needs to move past you, she’ll gently grab you by the waist and move you over
her touch is feather-light and without any pressure, and you barely notice it until you’ve been moved
it’s still a flustering experience for you! (it’s yun jin, c’mon)
but yun jin is oblivious to any effect this has on you!!
until she catches a hint of enjoyment from you, whether that be a smile or flustered expression
and she will (unknowingly) tease you about it, by the way

sucrose is a great baker!

so she starts giving you her “samples” and eagerly asks for your opinion on them

Sucrose X Child!reader (GN)
You were a really quiet kid, and i mean really quiet, wouldn’t say a word for hours straight and wouldn’t ask for a single thing.
Your new guardian, a researcher that spent her time up in the cold mountains of Dragonspine, you have still yet to get comfortable enough to refer to her as your mother.
She worked for hours not hearing a word from you, and those late hours where she heard you crying in your sleep.
You were scared of a lot of things, being overly cautious and not wanting to mess things up.
Sucrose would often take you to mondstat to play with the other children there, you often hung out with klee. You just followed her around and never said anything to her, but she enjoyed your company.
Albedo also really likes you when you’re in the cave while both of them are working, you aren’t causing a problem you aren’t disruptive but he did wish you would actually talk to him instead of looking scared the whole time.
Sucrose would try anything and go so far to get you to warm up to her, most of the time she thinks she’s doing something wrong since you won’t open up to her
You constantly asked if you could sleep with her, the reoccurring nightmares of your past caretakers always kept you awake at night. She would always say yes but it kept her wide awake hearing your faint cries when sleeping.
When you did start to open up to her she felt like crying. The day you started holding her hand when walking together she nearly cried.
Opening up and knowing what happened to you before she took you in always made her heart break, she didn’t want to pressure you to open up but she always made sure that you knew that you can tell her anything you need to.
Would spoil you to bits when she has the chance, you never asked for anything, and when she insisted buying you a toy so you weren’t so bored when she was working. You simply shook your head. And when it was your birthday she’d give you the best toys she can find in Mondstat, she really wants you to have something for yourself.
She noticed how other kids except klee wouldn’t talk to you for your lack of responses. You never want to play tag, or hide and seek. And many kids in Mondstat called you a bummer for it.
She want you to know that she loves you more than anything and would absolutely do anything for you, and she’ll wait for as long as it takes for you to warm up to her.

when halloween night falls, after she hands out healthy snacks (kaeya sneaks the kids candy), she sits near your pumpkins, eerie candlelight illuminating her soft smile, she states,

SUCROSE -
ohh, sucrose, she was so ecstatic you wanted to spend time with her, she even used bioalchemy to make extra big pumpkins! (much to lisa's horror)
she doesn't find the guts gross, and even bakes them to make roasted pumpkin seeds!
her pumpkin has an intricate little flower design on it, leaving you wondering how she's so skilled with a knife!
on halloween, when you set out the pumpkins, near timaeus' alchemy stall, to hand out sweets, she was so blushy when you kissed he cheek under the spooky silver moon!
'oh! i made some special candies, if you wanted to try them! they're made from our pumpkins!'
XIAO -
you wanted him to do what?? why would the vigilant yaksha, protector of liyue, do something so childish and strange?
when you finally convince him, with mild begging (how could he say no to those eyes?), he hated the pumpkin guts. disgusting, slimy and cold. you would have to dispose of them yourself.
when he begins carving, he does so quite aggressively, but when you ask to see what he's done, a delicate bird shape adorns the gourd.
as you eat lots of candy, in celebration, you explain, he looks at you with that soft gaze reserved for his to favorite things, almond tofu, and yourself.
'oH- IT'S ALL GROSS AND SLIMY, YOU EXPECT ME TO TOUCH THAT CRAP?? ABSOLUTELY NOT!!'
KAZUHA -
beidou came to bully (affectionately) him and ning came along, she walked up and did the childish 'oOoOoOoooOo- kazuha and (name), sittin' in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G!' ningguang had to physically drag her away to go to the costume party thet were invited to (ning was a mermaid and beidou was a fisherwoman <3)
once you actually start carving, he'll carve the most intricate thing you've ever seen, and he does it so fast it'll make your head spin.
the rest of the crux catches wind (ha- anemo, get it??), they make pumpkins too! the alcor is aglow with a million little lights, and its docked in liyue harbor.
while the crux goes out drinking, you and kazuha sit in the crows nest, gazing upon the stars, he reaches over, and places his hand on yours, and hums contentedly.

VENTI -
he was soooo excited! he couldn't wait! he talked about it the night before you planned to at the tavern! (diluc got kinda tired of hearing about it lol)
he is so childish. he threw a handful of pumpkin guts at you. right in your face. you weren't too upset though.
he carved a self-portrait! a messy little thing of his wind spirit form! it was soooo cute.
as i mentioned before, he pretends to be a kid to get free candy, so after sorting it on the rug, he shared some with you!

while he is looking for his sister, he wants to spend time with you aswell! he remembers carving pumpkins with lumine in a different world, and gets a little sad, but thinks about how she wouldn't want him to be sad right now!
he actually likes touching the goo! thinks it feels neat. he also told paimon it tasted good, like slime, as a joke, but then she actually enjoyed it! then he tried some, as did you, but it really wasn't great (speaking from experience)
he carved pretty stars on it! nothing fancy. paimon carved a fish.
and you sat, on a rock in the wilderness, telling spooky stories around a campfire, while paimon was cowering. he laughed at all the right points in your tale, and even suggested telling some more in liyue harbor, sure the patrons of tea houses would recognize your obvious talent.

she really likes halloween, remembering all the times she's scared aether, and planned to scare you!
she went and picked the biggest pumpkin she could find! it was soooo big, you all had to work on it together!
on her portion, she carved a scary face!! paimon carved in some bread.
she went to show the knights, proud of her handiwork, and lisa almost fainted! sucrose wanted to know where she found the pumpkin, for research purposes! and klee said it would be super cool filled with bombs.
'maybe klee's right? oh! we could put firecrackers in it! loud noises are scary!'
SAYU - (keep in mind this is platonic)
she doesn't wanna carve the pumpkin, it'll be sooo tiring, she says, but when told it might help her get taller, she immediately agrees!
she doesn't really carve her pumpkin, but gutted it and fell asleep inside! she also added eye holes!
she watched you carve yours through the little holes, and thought it was sooo cool!!
'maybe celebrating holidays with you is so bad, i think i grew an inch!'
I don't think Noelle originally knew that Diluc was a captain. But I think it would eventually reach her ears. And when Diluc was around her age, he was a cavalry captain! Like she looks up at Jean in aw, but Diluc! That would be a whole another level! He must have been an amazing Knight (And maybe not knowing the whole story, just assumed he took over because his father passed. Cause I highly doubt that Diluc would be mean towards her) so she goes and asks him for training on being a knight. This makes Diluc HIGHLY uncomfortable... But I think that he couldn't really say no.
Adelinde loves Noelle. Like out of all the kids Diluc has taken under his wing. Noelle is probably her favorite cause Noelle doesn't hesitate to help out. She's brought up several times that maybe Diluc should try and hire Noelle.
"Adelinde... She wants to be a knight."
"And you could just have a personal Knight! And extra help around the house!"
Diluc doesn't like this Idea. I can see him taking her out on business trips (especially if Jean is saying he should have an escort) to help her try and get more outside experience. Definitely is the first to remind her that being a knight isn't the be-all-end-all in the world. Because He defiantly fears that Noelle might end up like his father, and be so focused on trying to be a knight, and not recognize their others gifts and how they can help people in other ways.
Noelle quickly becomes the first port of call if one of the knights has to deal with Master Diluc. And I think once she learns Diluc's story. She might start questioning the Knights a little more...
Razor and Diluc
Next to Lisa, Razor is probably closest to Razor. And those 2 are the closest he's got to parents. I think Diluc has known about Razor longer because, Razor lives in DIluc's backyard. Diluc, I believe, also understands Razor's want to not be taken in. And well, they kind of have a mutual agreement. Razor chases off the boars out of the winery, and he can help himself to grapes and whatever else he catches. Diluc is probably also the first Razor goes to if something is off around the woods.
Their relationship is tranquil. Cause Razor doesn't like talking, but neither does Diluc. Razor will often come in, and DIluc will help him read through storybooks. Razor really likes people reading to him. But honestly, they just often will sit out in the woods and have a nice time chilling.
Also, Razor says Diluc like "DeeLook!" And it's close enough Diluc never says anything about it and will always accept anything that has 'To Deelook' on it.
Rosaria and Diluc
You will never see them interact during the day. But at night, if you carefully look carefully right around dawn, you'll see two people hanging out on the rooftops having a nice smoke break.
Rosaria is totally aware of who the Darknight hero is. But totally gets the reason why he hides it. She doesn't need to know his backstory. She knows who he is now, and that's enough.
And the feeling is mutual. Diluc doesn't know Rosaria's past. And doesn't need to. He knows her that's here now. And that's again is good enough. They've got a pretty quiet relationship, not interacting during the day, really. Maybe at night at the tavern, but they won't really appear friendly. He'll just serve her her drink and be one his way. I think they've got a low-key langue of their own. And can pass messages with little actions over physically talking.
So you might get this situation.
Rosaria raised an eyebrow at Diluc. = That information I asked you for?
Diluc waving his hand = Nothing positive
Diluc hands her drink with the handle facing her = But I've got a lead
Rosaria huffs and pays him = Same time?
Diluc takes it and gives a slight bow = Same time.
Sucrose and Diluc
So Surcrose is terrified of Diluc. Like Jean is scary, but Master Diluc! With that frightening face! Who was a knight! And a captain at 14! It's scary!
She's actually gone up to help Albedo, and Diluc is there, and they are just hanging out. Surcorse just hides and waits for Diluc to leave. BUT HE WON'T (Because this is how Albedo and Diluc hang out) And eventually, Diluc goes to leave but Find a half-frozen Surcrose just outside the cave and, of course, carries her in and warms her up. Is totally confused why she was waiting out there.
And Diluc probably is heating up the cave as best he can. This prompts Albedo to ask questions, and Diluc gives curt answers more focused on helping the confused Sucrose. Cause?? He's seen her around but never interacted before. Low key was like 'whatever' towards here. But now He's got big brother mode on, and Ops, sorry Sucrose, you've doomed yourself. That guy you are terrified of now knows your unhealthy habits and has protected mode on. She'll slowly get used to him, but it's a bit of a long road and a lot of rumors to get past, but I think a good Diluc head pat would go a long way.

I'm sorry I couldn't really do it in hcs because I couldn't imagine enough things to keep decent leght- but I hope tiny headcanons / imagines are okay!! (´ ∀ ` *)
Mona would probably be very sceptical about you playing with her hair! She's a little ashamed, scared of you finding her greasy and dirty. You know,, because she doesn't really have money to afford any decent shampoos. She's happy though when you offer to wash them for her then comb and style! She probably whines a lot whenever you pull a little too hard or do a ponytail a little too tight! In the end, she'll tell you "it's good enough" or "you didn't do too bad", but in fact she really means to tell you how happy she is with your work.
I think Sucrose would be all flustered the moment she hears ryou want to play with her hair! I don't think she pays a lot of attention to the way her hair looks, as she always ties it into low ponytail to keep it away from bothering her in researches. She'd really enjoy your gentle touch and delicate strokes against her ears,, actually she might just act like a cat! I also imagine her hair would be really soft. ♡
Hu Tao.. Hu Tao... hmm.. She'd probably be moving around all the time,, that makes it hard for you to try any decent hairstyle-- Afterall, she loves teasing you. Whenever you braid her hair then turn your head away to take a pin or another accessory, She'd quickly mess up her hair so you have to do the thing all over again. "Oh? Looks like some ghosts might be messing around here.~"

Ganyu would appreciate your sweets and finds them endearing
But she is a full-on vegan :(
BUT!! the day you bring in cupcakes made for vegans she is thanking you profusely
especially when shes working overtime though
you could walk in with something made specifically for her, and all the energy she lost is replenished
the first time you mentioned you could bake treats, she gasped and clasped her hands together in surprise
while experimenting you decide to recreate a glaze lily on a cake for her but she admired it more than ate
but when you recreated a qingxin flower her eyes lit up so quickly
very often Ganyu would offer you a slice of your cake, which sometimes you would have to refuse because she herself enjoyed the cake so much
letting her indulge in your treats as a reward for overtime is something she is extremely grateful for <3
