About all those gnosis chess games

So I was thinking about chess games in both Sudden Snow and A Winter Night's Lazzo. General things I noticed:

Pierro plays black (as the Fatui side), Her Majesty plays white.

Pierro takes his own captured pieces, Her Majesty takes opponent's captured pieces.

Both moves are taking the black pawn (Who are you killing, Your Majesty?).

First time it looked like both Anemo and Geo gnoses (and implied Electro too) was on opponent side. That time Cryo and Geo gnoses are on our side, but all others (Anemo, Electro, Dendro, Hydro. Still no Pyro gnosis) are on opponent side again, although not on the board.

So there are only white gnoses on the board and only black gnoses outside.

First time there were too few pieces at all, now there are too many.

First time there were 8/8 pieces on the board, now there are 10/10.

I also analyzed chessboard views we have. Then I looked at them carefully and made chessboard position for both cases (view from the white side).

I would really like to see a chess player analyze these...

I did the second one first, so I like this one because it's easier. Although I have question about why f2+f3 looks like some kind of cat statuette on the third picture...

Outside the board:

2 black bishops, standing (in front of Pierro)

2 black pawns, laying (on left of Pierro)

white: 2 pawns, 1 knight, 1 bishop, all standing in front of opponent (close to the board)

maybe other white, because sometimes I think I can see the crests of a rook in the distance. But I don't think so

At all:

16 on the board

8 outside the board

24 total

Also:

In this game we can easily assume that Anemo gnosis is a king and Geo gnosis is a rook because then we got black and white having the EXACT same number and types of pieces on the board, as @ember-mage-of-light noticed AND they are also look like that quite a lot.

Sudden Snow:

I'm very not sure about a3 a4 and a6 tho, cause I can only see there are black/white pieces there.

White knight I suppose because of completing white chess set (what is on board + outside the board).

I suppose black ones are knight and pawn because that black and white had the exact same number and types of pieces on the board thing in the first game and I think it remains in some way, but I have no idea which one is knight and which is pawn.

Outside the board:

2 white bishops, 1 standing 1 laying

2 white pawns, 1 standing 1 laying

1 white knight, standing

1 white king (!!!!!!!!), standing

1 white... something, standing The problem is we can only see the bottom of the piece, and it don't really look like ANY bottom type (that was a funny way to know all of them are pieces-type-unique, except maybe king + queen). Technically, it looks quite similar to king/queen bottom and white queen is missing so we can say it's a queen. But we DO see that chess set queen, and its bottom look just like king, not like THAT THING- *deep sign* So, 1 white strange thing, standing. Probably a queen

1 black queen, standing We also see only the bottom of this one (right queen/king bottom that time!). I assume it's a queen because black king is on the board, and bottom are unique, just as I said

1 black knight, laying And again there is only the bottom. It seems like knight to me, with right smooth curves

4 gnoses, 2 standing 2 laying Other people (for example @tthelady here, @thenerdhoard here) already discussed symbolism of that gnoses positions on this site. I agree with a lot of that (Venti returning Anemo authority to Dvalin go brrrrrrr! And Zhongli's contracts... Ohh)

At all:

Yes, 34 TOTAL, while chess set has only 32 pieces.

So which ones are repeating? Hard to say because of all that gnoses and only-bottom ones. I have no idea really.

Also:

That time it's more difficult to assume what pieces gnoses replace.

If we think look-based, Geo gnosis should be the rook again and Cryo gnosis should be the queen.

If we think white-black same type and number based, we should remember that we don't really know what is a3 a4 a6, so possible choices are rook, king and some unknown third variant (in that case we should be okay with KING DOUBLING, cause we already have one outside. I really think it shouldn't be the king on board in that game with all that "checkmate is not the end of the game").

If we think set-based, either Cryo gnosis is rook and Geo gnosis is not in set, or they are rook and queen (and that strange outside not queen standing thing is... I don't know, second queen? second king? an alien?).

Only thing we know certainly is that Cryo gnosis can be only rook, queen or king because of move it made.
