Harry is older by 6 years. Met Hermione Riddle when she was a young girl that got lost in the woods. He was out there stuck in the middle of a half finished animagus transformation. With devils horns and large black wings he expected her to hate him. But Hermione has seen darker things at home.
Her father Marvolo (Voldemort) is not a man that can love, while he dose care for her as much as he can, she is a product of his need to be deemed normal by those around him not something he loves.
Harry returns the small girl home and leaves her there. Flash forward many years and Hermione is 2 and 10 years of age(20), a nearly a spinster. Her father enters her into the next Hunt for her own good.
A brutal matchmaking competition where wix fight one another into submitting with only the weight of your magic and skill. New bloods go into it so that they can find a better social standing, while pure blood makes go looking for mates and pure blood females are thrust into the mix by family that think they will never marry other wise.
If you can make it out without being dominated then you are usually socially, left alone, and the widen world will generally allow you to just be unless your line needs a heir.
Should you be dominated, the winner of the pair usually runs the house, or Molly stalked and conquered Arthur, so she runs the household even though Arthur’s the head of house. Usually most families stay patriarchal. Though some do change as in the case of the last Zabini runner.
Harry ends up participating in his 7th hunt, and hopes to come out with the Riddle Heiress as his witch, she’ll certainly not make it easy.
Up to you how you want it to end, I imagine a merry chase an an epic battle, before one of them captures the other.
Voldemort isn’t evil he’s just incapable of true love, at this point in history it doesn’t end up with him becoming a Dark Lord.
