The Sugarholics! 🍬

I’ve had these guys around for years now, and I finally got the chance to bring them back! (It was for a school project but it’s fine shshshhhshh)

Ok the Sugarholics are just silly little kids from Sugar Valley and have fun! I don’t have much on them but I do plan on having more soonish (including a Valentines animatic and some webcomic type stuff)

Strawberry Creme’s more of the ringleader of the group! Mint and Peanut Fudge are siblings; Peanut is rowdy and quick to run off for adventure while Mint is kinda anxious and would rather be reading indoors.

I’ll probably drop more info stuff with them as I draw them more, including side characters and story, but they’re just my precious babies and I love them so much werrraagagahhghh

Another good discussion of the problems we're faced with trying to get rid of sugar in our daily lives while the rest of society doesn't seem to care.  The comments at the bottom are also great for ideas, especially for those with kids.

Chocolate Cake in a Cup

This is a lovely recipe I discovered/ altered a while ago, and thought it might be worth reblogging as while, yes it is still a sweet treat, it is not as bad as some, especially if you use DARK baking chocolate.  A second good feature is it only makes a single serving (so you don't have to finish the rest of a whole cake later!).  

This is also a vegan version of the recipe for those that are interested in trying that out.

2 tbsp flour (I recommend oat) 2 tbsp flax seed, ground 2 tbsp cocoa powder pinch of salt  cinnamon and cayenne pepper  1 1/2ish tbsp honey 3ish tbsp (coconut) oil 2ish tbsp (almond) milk

Mix as above in large mug and microwave for 3 1/2 min. Turn over on a plate.  This makes a denser and slightly dryer cake than the “normal” version, however, is quite good in its own right.  Serve with maple syrup or jam or applesauce… be creative.
