"California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) said California will sue the Trump administration Monday over its deployment of the National Guard to quell Los Angeles protests against federal immigration raids.

In an interview Sunday evening on MSNBC, Newsom said the lawsuit would challenge Trump’s federalizing of the California National Guard without the state’s consent, a move with little precedent in U.S. history.

“Donald Trump has created the conditions you see on your TV tonight. He’s exacerbated the conditions. He’s, you know, lit the proverbial match. He’s putting fuel on this fire, ever since he announced he was taking over the National Guard — an illegal act, an immoral act, an unconstitutional act,” Newsom said on MSNBC."

So when I heard about the news that Qwelver (the creator of Dandy’s World) is giving them a Cease and Desist letter to the victims of R*x, instead of responding any of the backlash given at her.. what the fuck?

Given how I crashed out to Qwel with my last art of the character Vee, all she did was played overwatch and spend most of her time doing the circus trio without giving all the victims and the community the response they’d need.. and instead she only gave them a fucking cease and desist letter as a response?

What the fuck Qwel? You’d genuinely gave them a cease and desist letter all because they somewhat spoke the truth out loud? DOJ sues six states, escalating campaign to seize private voter data

The Department of Justice (DOJ) today sued six states — California, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, New Hampshire, and Pennsylvania — over their refusal to hand over sensitive voter registration data. Last week, the DOJ filed nearly identical lawsuits against Maine and Oregon.

The lawsuits mark an aggressive escalation in the DOJ's ongoing effort to force states to hand over their voter rolls and list maintenance records — including individual voters’ sensitive information like address, driver’s license number and partial social security number.

“This isn’t just about a data request,” Arizona Secretary of State Adrian Fontes (D) said to Democracy Docket. Though the DOJ has not filed a lawsuit against Arizona, Fontes has forcefully rejected the department’s demand to hand over its voter registration data.

“It’s about protecting your privacy, your security, and your fundamental right to vote free from unnecessary federal overreach,” Fontes said. “Once that information leaves our custody, there is no guarantee about how it’s handled, where it ends up, or whether it's properly secured. To date, there has been no clear legal justification or transparent explanation for these demands.”
