I'm a mom and teacher and business owner with disabilities. There's a lot of "I can't...". Sometimes it's little things, like opening up a jar of peanut butter. That resistance to important work thingy nearly stops me in my tracks every time. It's so scary to dare to risk fulfilling a dream. When I finally get my scaredy-cat self to take that first step, resistance is there whispering its doubt to me. Sometimes resistance presents itself as a well-meaning friend, or problem that needs to be solved, or a toddler who needs more from me, or a pile of laundry that is now taller than previously mentioned toddler, or a new season of #TheWalkingDead on #Netflix. No matter the resistance, it's the response that matters.
