A/N: This is my first multi-character post, so I hope this is good :> Great thing about the Gaang is that there isn’t too many of them, so I didn’t have to question if I were including too many people

AANG:

• Loves when you hold his head against you. Perhaps you cup the back of his head during hugs, maybe you hold his head against your chest after he has a nightmare. He melts every single time, eyes closing, body relaxing, his arms tightening around you in return. It’s a softness that is more safe to him than anything else could be.

• Is protective. This is obvious to everyone around you, a given to anyone who knows his character. Whenever danger is near you, he always positions himself firmly in front of you. If you’re ever threatened, negotiations become his last priority, instead he attempts to get you out, unharmed. There is no universe where Aang willingly lets anything happen to you. There is no decision where you aren’t his top priority. Anything less wouldn’t be true to his love.

• Falls asleep so easily on you. Being the esteemed Avatar, there are always responsibilities and expectations lingering in the back of his mind and the minds of everyone around him. With you, however, he’s able to forget about that, if only for a moment, and that’s more relaxing than anything else. Hence, he falls asleep so naturally on you, within minutes, no matter where you are or what’s going on. He can’t help it at all.

• Still flusters easily at your love. Despite growing up so aware of the tragedy of the world around him, Aang somehow managed to be shy at the same time. Aside from his sheepishly endearing attempts at flirting, he also has no idea how to even react to flirting. Without fail, he blushes, gives a small smile and stammers over his words, a cute image of pure fluster even at his adult age. Though, of course, he’d never admit to it.

KATARA:

• Loves sneaking in kisses. Whether it be between training sessions with younger waterbenders or in the midst of an adventure, she adores the kisses she can give you when no one else is looking. Your cheek, nose, forehead, lips, anywhere she can reach. It doesn’t matter where she kisses you, what matters is your love and the affirmations that it’s strong despite everything.

• Is encouraging. Being someone who’s consistently boxed in by restrictive labels or deterministic expectations, the most important thing to her is freedom and the justice that brings it. No matter what you do, she would always encourage you, defend your choices and be so openly proud about what you achieve… though, this doesn’t exempt you from her worrying about your safety if you’re being too dangerous.

• Has to exchange ‘i love yous’ every day. Throughout her life, she’s lost so many people near her–her mother, her tribe, Jet even. No matter if she were close to them or not, the weight of death still weighs heavily on her. Hence, she always has to exchange ‘i love yous’ with you, just in case you may be torn from her next; just to be sure that her love isn’t silent, it exists in the air around you both until she professes it again.

• Always traces patterns over you. Regardless of if it’s merely a hug, actual cuddling or any other sort of intimate affection, her fingers are always running tenderly over the ridges of your muscles and the smooth surface of your skin. You can’t tell if it’s random patterns, or something deeper than that, but it always manages to feel warm against you.

SOKKA:

• Slowly melts at tender words. Even though he’s loud, playful and seemingly entirely unserious, that persona easily melts away from a few, tender words from you. Easing from simple compliments to long confessions of love said in the silence between you, the more gooey it is, the more visible he reacts–dilated eyes, a dopey smile, sighs of contentment.

• Always has his arm around you. He loves it; not just the proximity, but also the display of affection. He’s always needed to prove himself as a non-bender by showing off and you see firsthand how it bleeds into your relationship. He adores the feeling of having you so proudly beside him, being closer to you than anyone else, showing his love so loudly.

• Gets cuteness aggression. Sokka is a man borderline theatrical with how he conveys his emotions and, sometimes, you get the full brunt of it. He’s often overcome with pure affection for you, pouncing on you and squishing your face or gently pinching your cheek with an endless supply of compliments spewing from his lips. You can’t complain, you chose this.

• Is the king of silly petnames. Yes, he’s directed war, invented… questionable creations, been an esteemed member of the Gaang, but whenever he’s in a good mood, his goofy persona shines through. Sometimes it’s random, not-even-real words that just rhyme with your name, other times it’s just optimistic nouns; it’s as if his mouth has a mind of if its own and he calls you whatever fits.

SUKI:

• Savours the moments where it’s just you two. Of course, she adores living as a Kyoshi Warrior–the sisterhood, the justice, the message–but time with just you will always be precious to her. Whether it’s something so casual as a walk along the coast, as energised as a training session or a moment as intimate as stargazing with you, they always cling to her heart and she will always recollect them fondly.

• Adores casual affection. The things that don’t need to be commented on, that come naturally, that don’t need to be showed off. She may be a strong, warrior, but she doesn’t need to make a point about how much she loves you, she just lets it exist, even when no one is looking. She gives you this sort of affection often, as if it were no big deal and especially if it flustered you, often walking away with a pleased smile already on her lips.

• Always lights up in your presence. Despite how she may put on the determined poise of a warrior’s face, she can’t help how it always falters at your presence. Her eyes always light up first, then her smile, followed quickly by her entire body straightening up. It happens without fail, an explosion of happiness that immediately shows anyone in her vicinity how you’re the light of her life.

• Relaxes the most when you take off her makeup. Being a Kyoshi warrior means that she becomes something more than herself, she carries the morals and values of the Avatar Kyoshi, spreads justice, trains her discipline. She would never take it for granted but, still, the moments where you take off her makeup and ease her into the comfort of being herself are some of the most relaxing moments of her days. She always closes her eyes, melts into all of your touch and sighs at the gentle movement of the warm cloth across her face, a smile only crossing her lips when you’re done.

TOPH:

• Is clingy. While to many, it’d seem as merely a need for direction because of her blindness–and, to an extent, it is–it’s more that she’s touch starved. Growing up being treated as fragile and weak, she never really received much openly loving affection prior to joining the Gaang. So, when she’s comfortable with you, she’s constantly clambering over you, desperate for your touch, love and affection.

• Loves play-fighting. Toph is almost infamous for needing to show her strength and while, usually, it presents in her battles where she gets bruised and battered, she quickly fell in love with the gentler alternative of play-fighting with you. She adores the proximity, the way she can easily overpower you, how she can cockily show off and hear your airy laugh beneath her. It’s a fight without any heavy anger or pain, it’s a way for her to show her strength, not just her physical prowess but the strength of her love too.

• Is jealous. With her disability, she’s often wrongfully underestimated and denied certain things under presumptions and prejudices. It’s made her defensive in a way that sinks into your relationship whenever she catches someone talking to you in a way that is beyond her comfort. She often stews on it, clenches her fists while silently approaching your side, letting her presence and your familiarity to it, speak for itself.

• Always stealing your clothes. Working as the Police Chief of Republic City means that she’s grown accustomed to the discomfort of heavy armour and itchy uniforms. So, it’s no surprise, that she’s constantly stealing your clothes, desperate to soak up your warmth, familiar scent and the immense comfort that comes with it. To her, nothing else compares. The ability to show off your relationship with it, is just an added bonus.

ZUKO:

• Is devoted. Having grown up learning that love is dependant on his ability to serve his Nation, having something true means more to him than anything else. He’d be loyal to a fault, always willing to favour you over others and always going to your defence, regardless of if it’s physically or emotionally comforting you. It’s clear to everyone, how you own his heart.

• Always protects your image. It may be someone talking bad about you during royal Fire Nation events that he sternly corrects. It could be him merely adjusting your collar when it slips off of your shoulder. Considering his title as the Fire Lord, you’re automatically famed by association but he will not let it tear you apart. He consistently ensures your safety, your wellbeing and lets your love and spirit roam freely under that protection.

• Is always in your presence. He may not always have the words–for comforting you, for explaining how he feels, for conveying the pain of his past–but he is always there, he always tries. Sometimes, he may not touch you; other times, he may hold your hand. No matter the situation, he makes sure you’re never alone and lets that reassurance speak for itself.

• Has the softest voice with you. In meetings, he has to be firm and directive; against adversaries, he’s angry and spiteful; but with you, he’s something else entirely. His whole voice softens, permeates a sort of affection through his tone that reaches into the deepest depths of your heart. He doesn’t even attempt to hide it in front of others, just lets them see how you soften him and how much your love means to him, even if it means he’s facing Sokka, Aang and Toph’s teasing for it.

KATARA is smothering.

she cares a lot. it’s a good quality, on its own, and a difficult one to complain about without sounding like a heartless, selfish, spoiled child. shouldn’t it please you to not be alone anymore? to have somebody out there who’d share your joys and sorrows, weathering with you the stillness and the storms? somebody who’d look out for you, provide for you, speak up for you? shouldn’t it please you to be so obviously loved? and sure. it should. it would have, if not for the feeling that you are getting smaller. whatever edge you might have had before meeting katara is eroded, restless tides lapping up at the borders, and it’s gentle—she always is—yet insistent, inescapable. you do not notice the change until it’s too late—until she’s everything, everywhere, all the time, as though by inviting her into your life you’d invited her into you, and now you can’t get one out without destroying the other. not that she’d let you try that either: her hands are soft; her temper isn’t. once the simmering reaches the boiling point, you might have to learn the hard way just how much she cares about you. it’s lucky, then, that there’s so little she cannot mend. that, like it or not, as long as you are in her arms, you’ll be taken care of.

YUE is selfish.

were she not so selfless a person, she wouldn’t have to be so selfish a lover. alas, yue is the dutiful daughter, the dutiful wife, and the dutiful mother, so there’s never been anything she wouldn’t share—any part of herself she wouldn’t give up for the greater good. and, to her credit, she wishes to be selfless with you, too, for selflessness is the virtue she’s been weaned on, the one thing she must nobly hold on to, but there’s only so much you can give away before there’s nothing left, and even she is not so self-sacrificial. even she knows better than to resign herself to the silence of solitude. all that this means, however, is that you are the one paying the price. you are the one who can’t be the daughter, the wife, or the mother, because what you must be first is her companion—a witness to the icy prison and the icy princess in it. don’t be fooled by the sweetness of her voice, the sincerity of the tears brimming in her startling eyes: if she pushes you away, it’s only to pull you back in. you are as close as anything has come to being hers, and so she cannot let go of you, however unkind of her that may be.

TOPH is ruthless.

it’s not that she is above sentimentality—she is plenty sentimental when it comes to you; it’s just that there’s very little she isn’t willing to give up for a good enough prize, and you happen to be a good enough prize that, should promises—or bones—need to be broken, then broken they will be. hers, yours, theirs. whatever. as long she gets what she needs, she loses no sleep over it. you might be tempted to write this off as cruelty, but cruelty it is not: toph doesn’t delight in hurting others. the taunting and the jabbing she enjoys quite a bit, sure. the lies and the theatrics? undeniably, yes. harm for the sake of harm, however, holds no appeal to her. pain, if caused by her, is the byproduct of her getting what she needs, and what she needs is love. the kind of love that’s vulnerable enough to satisfy the craving for it, yet not so vulnerable as to make her soft, and pliant, and weak; a tamed love and a safe love; a love she’d always have an upper hand in. that’s what she’s willing to give anything up for. unfortunately for you, that’s not something she can get without breaking you in.  

SUKI is zealous.

she’s quick on her feet: she’s got no time to dawdle—not with her sisters by her side and not with the safety of her community at stake, so she’s used to assessing the situation quickly. size up your opponent, find their weak spot, exploit it. an easy enough strategy, in theory. in practice, a fight can rarely be won without a sacrifice: perhaps, you overlook a detail you should have honed in on; perhaps, you insist on engaging an opponent that should have been avoided. perhaps, perhaps, perhaps. there are plenty of them, those “perhaps”, but get stuck on any one, and you lose. the thought fatigue gets you well before the enemy. thus, suki’s not one to hesitate. she knows what she wants; she gives it a shot. if that shot lands poorly, she does her best to soothe the sore spot. she apologizes. she makes up for it. then, she goes back to the basics: to knowing what she wants, to reaching out to get it. and it’s never malicious, and it’s never so cruel as to alarm her good-spirited self to the possibility of her imposing on you, but it is exhausting. she wears you down until you, too, learn to make your decisions quickly. until you learn better than to keep saying “no”.

AZULA is scared.

not of you, of course, but of what you are to her. of the weight your existence holds, in its presence and its absence. she wishes she’d never met you. then she wouldn’t have to know what it’s like to have you, and she wouldn’t have to care about losing you. instead she can only hope that there might be a threat great enough to dangle over your head, or a good enough tool for her to mold herself into for your use. instead she can only fear and be repulsed by that fear: by herself, dependent on you, an uncertain variable; and by you, oblivious to your own volatility, content enough to keep passing her tests and jumping through her hoops. you aren’t smart enough to know that this is a road into nothing, a proverbial cul-de-sac in the noisy neighborhood of her mind, but she is. she knows that sooner or later this will come to an end. the fire will eat, and once it’s had its fill, there’ll be nothing but ashes. it’s not easy for her—living with that much fear, so don’t be surprised if her love is indistinguishable from hatred. you may not be having a good time with azula, but whatever she’s going through because of you is much, much worse.

TY LEE is manipulative.

she’s a liar. that’s all there is to it. there isn’t a shape she won’t contort herself into to be loved by you, and there isn’t a weak point she won’t exploit to get you to stay. she cares not about dignity; she knows not shame. what she wants is your undivided attention, and she’s getting it, one way or another. her bonelessness is selective: tie herself into knots though she may, when push comes to shove, she does have a spine, and, devastatingly enough, its steeliness is not to your benefit. veer too far away from the course, and the illusion of her eating out of your hand shatters, replaced instead with the much less ego-stroking truth of having been locked in the grasp of her palm. a delicate, if calloused, palm; a palm that’s so skilled at twirling you around that the routine ty lee is leading you in could easily pass for a pleasant, mutual dance. she leaves you little to do, other than tremble and twitch, limbs struggling to twist up in a move she won’t know to turn against you. you won’t. obviously. she’s too good—she has to be. after all, she’s got no safety net to catch you in, should you manage to slip.

MAI is devoted.

it’s easy enough to miss. she’s spent most of her life in shadowy corners and dusty attics, so hiding from you comes naturally: she puts no special effort into masking her feelings, because she’s never not masking. the insults she throws at you might be unusually sharp, too specific to have come from under the shroud of apathy she wraps herself in, but that’s all the more reason to surmise a dislike of you—a mai-specific brand of revulsion. not infatuation and certainly not love. you infer that, in her mind, you are somewhere between “annoying idiot number ten” and “annoying idiot number twelve”, and you do your best not to piss her off some more. you aren’t eager to learn what she’s got in her arsenal for an annoying idiot number eleven. that’s why a flash of raw emotionality, come and gone on a random day during a mundane interaction, catches you off guard: to notice something where you expect to see nothing is alarming. gaining awareness of the depth of her feelings, threatening to crawl out from under the ground they’ve been buried in, turns out to be about as startling as learning that the town you’ve lived in for years has been nestled in the crater of a dormant volcano all along. the realization is gut-wrenching, panic-inducing, and futile. if you are close enough to see it, it’s already too late.

It's like everything revolved around you.

Zuko's hands find your thighs, his body seated on a log, lightly caressing them as you lay on his lap, head resting on the man's shoulder. It's quite cold in the forest, trees and dirt envelop the gaang, a few rivers creating an ambiance of rest and quiet.

Sokka's slowly tossing wood onto the fire, silent, almost relaxed.

In the background,birds sing,specks of dust run around the building, the warm light of the sun,yellow, pink and orange arranging nature to feel free. Everyone ate a few minutes ago, now reposing.

Toph and Suki a few branches away seem to play with some of Sokka's gadgets, the blind woman tossing his boomerang over and over again, Suki catching it for her every time so it won't trash her face, besides their feet, compasses,tiny shaped metal submarines,swords,and things that the non bender made when he was bored.

“Ow! What the–” Sokka exclaims, grunting, pushing away from the fire, palm covering his back head, turning around, eyebrows frowned together.

Soft snickers dash, Suki hides behind Toph,hand resting on her shoulders,even though the blind woman threw the boomerang.

“Really? What was that for?” Sokka's voice echoes as Suki catches the boomerang, the sound shifting quietly into nothingness as the air ripples around Aang and Katara, the water bender taking a seat next to Zuko and you, her hand finding yours in an instant.

The avatar sighs contemptly, sitting on the ground and putting his arms against the long log that's holding more than two people, his head tilting back, admiring the scenery.

Yelps as well as laughter comes back from the other three, Sokka picking up his girlfriend, tossing her around his shoulder and pinching Toph's cheek which she quickly snapped away and grumbled.

“Those two never leave him be huh..” Aang mutters, sliding closer to you and Zuko, light massaging your calf, his gray eyes never leaving the show.

“Mostly Toph.” Katara mutters before continuing “it's his fault though, never should've given them his creations.”

Zuko remains silent, wrapping his hands around your waist and kissing you shoulder, sniffing your scent and closing his eyes.

“Hey Sparky! Light up the fire more ,would you?” Toph yells at the fire Lord, removing Sokka off of Suki as they began to be insufferably cheesy with each other

Zuko rolls his eyes and sighs, flicking his hand , the fire rolls smoothly, wood that the non bender put in, inhaling smoke before turning to ash itself.

A silent pause goes by, the grass being stopped on interrupting the silence. It's almost night now.

You curl against Zuko, Aang’s gaze slides upwards, admiring you, a soft expression on his face whilst Toph and Suki come to sit on the other piece of wood in front, the fire noting a line between the two logs.

Katara watches the light flicker, Sokka stretching before relaxing foot to foot with his girlfriend.

“Y/n..?” Suki speaks, eyes on you, “want to watch the stars together? I know a place around here...” She mutters, looking down then into your eyes.

You nod, a gentle smile on your face, matching hers.

Zuko's hand doesn't move however, only when you slid off , his fingers backed away, watching you walk away, hand in hand with the Kiyoshi.

Toph manspreads as there's more room ,crossing her arms and letting out a bored breath. Sokka grumbles, kicking her knee with his, itching the woman away so he can have more space.

“Dont we have marshmallow’s?” Zuko asks Katara out of nowhere and she nods, remembering.

“Oh yeah we do! Let me get them.” The woman exclaims, getting up from her seat and rummaging through the tent Aang and her share.

The afternoon is long gone, the sky enveloped swiftly with beautiful dots and lingers of the white heavenly bodies.

Suki wandered around the forest a day ago, wanting to find a spot reserved just for the two of you, knowing you love staring at pretty things.

It's cold, but you two don't mind. Your bodies are intertwined, holding each other, laying on some flowers, your head on top of her chest, her hand embracing your waist, thumb stroking the skin beneath the material.

“Do you like it?” She questions, gazing into the abyss.

“Mhm…” you nod, responding to her, not watching the stars entirely, head pin pointed towards hers.

The warrior blinks, noticing the way you're guided to her, not the sky. Grip tightening as she chuckles, looking away only to find your touch on her cheek, nudging her stare to you.

“The view is quite beautiful, don't you agree?” You tease, a small smile on your face, squeezing her cheeks.

“Oh you–” she snickers, pulling your waist closer to her, lightly placing a kiss on your forehead, giggling softly,hugging you, sweeps of clothes, hand trailing up your back to your hair, fingers massaging and fixing some locks.

Both breathings slow down, physique relaxing entirely in her touch, closing your soft tired eyes.

The two of you stay there, moonlight beams flashing over the scene, flowers squished under. Suki pampers your face with kisses, tucking a hair behind your ear, whispering while undoing her arms.

“I think..I smell something sweet, let's head back.”

Toph groans, tossing her stick onto the ground, pissed.

“I'm not doing this any more! It's my fifth try and the marshmallow is still not cooked!”

“And mine is all burned..” Aang mutters under his breath, taking the soft pillowy food off the stick and putting it in his mouth.

“I can–” Zuko looks at the avatar, Sokka interrupting him.

“I can help with that buddy! You see, you're putting directly into the fire, that's a big no no when it comes to–oh you're back! Here, here! I saved two for both of you.”

The non bender easily gets away from his friend once he sees the two girls, fingers lingering on the sticks with sweet treats ,cooked perfectly.

You thank him, taking your part and diving into it, the sugar melting on your tongue.

The earthbender quickly retracts her attention to you, her hands tugging on your clothes, pulling you harshly on top of her. She positions you to face the tents, both of your legs on her lap, like a princess carry, one hand on your thighs,one holding your waist. Your back slips towards her chest, to feel more comfortable, munching on the marshmallow.

“You cold?” She asks and you shake your head. Sooner or later, both of her hands find your waist, her face smothering in your chest. The others stay silent,not wanting to embarrass or annoy the blind girl,remembering she's rarely touchy with other people around.

Aang clears his throat and smiles, swallowing his sweet treat, making everyone put their focus on him instead.

“Sooo… how was everyone's day? Uh, Sokka, didn't you ran into some trouble today?”

“Ugh yeah, that kid would just not leave me alone-”

Toph's hands withering around your waist, her lips coming onto your neck, listening to the others speak.

She makes herself and you more comfortable, her legs spread, you between them, her touch delicately on your thighs.

“Are you sure you're not cold,sweet cheeks?” She asks again, caressing your arm as you throw away the stick somewhere on the ground, finishing your dessert.

“I'm sure Toph, I'm fine.” You reply back,pushing onto her, her arms around your waist again. The earthbender stays still, but only for a few seconds, one of her fingers sliding up towards your face, pushing the hair out, tracing the bumps and skin, as if memorizing you again.

Your head moves, now facing hers, feeling her breath on your lips. She stops, then smiles, not the usual cocky one, a soft one, meant only for you.

Her hand cups your face, gently stroking it. Without a second thought, you peeked her lips, no one batted an eye, as you always gave each and everyone the same affection you give her, well…you may have some favorites, but that's not important right now.

The air grasps your face, feeling her body warm up, she breaks the kiss and looks away, grumbling, touch tightening, the hand that was on your cheek now on the log for support.

“You can't just do that, jeez..” She mumbles, ears flushing a pink hue, relaxing her body instantly once you lean into her.

“I love you Toph” you whisper softly,ensuring she's the only one who hears your words.

The woman froze, not used to this type of affection, not even daring to look into your eyes, she opens her mouth, trying to peek out something.

“I..I lo-”

“Okay! When is it my turn to hold her? You all had a chance–” Sokka interrupts, squealing and dodging a rock that Toph sent his way, Suki laughing at the poor man beside him.

Toph sighs, eyes frowned together before rolling her eyes.

“Whatever…”

A pause.

“I love you too.” a whisper echoes in your ears, just for a split second.

“Here, fine, have her.” She whines, patting your butt to get off of her and sit on Sokka, who's now beaming, a smile on his face with open arms, expecting you.

You linger your arms around his neck and place your legs around his waist.

“Ah finally..” He says, fingers on your thighs, slowly working himself to your waist, hugging you tightly and nuzzling his head in your chest.

“Oh yeah this is definitely heaven.” He mumbles, in between your breasts squeezing you tighter. Suki who's right beside him raises an eyebrow at his remark but says nothing, dividing her attention to the fire that's blooming because of Zuko’s bending.

The air is silent, trees pushing their leaves to create melancholic music, the sounds of the fire crackling envelopes the space, crickets briefing , fireflies appearing, it's night now, a few hours have passed.

Toph is in a tent with Zuko, already passed out, Sokka and Suki are admiring the moon together,a split space between the two.

Katara finishes pampering everything: closing the wrapping of the marshmallows, ,cleaning the camp as much as possible and finally extinguishing the spark that gives the grass a vibrant colour with her water bending.

The woman sighs, looking around and taking a deep breath, the sounds of the forest flourishing.

Her gaze catches you and Aang, who are watching some fireflies.

“Did you know? They aren’t actually flies: Fireflies are members of the beetle family…I think they're called Lampyridae?”

Aang explains, dropping fun facts about the insects, learned from the old air nomads back in his day, hand on your waist, trapping you against him.

“Still, that's all I remember, I didn't really pay much attention since I didn't care.”

He chuckles, holding one of your hands that's on his chest, his cape hovering you, giving you warmth.

“That's interesting.” You say, looking at the fireflies, flying together in one place.

“It quite is.” Katara agrees, walking to the two of you, her hand coming against your back, caressing it and giving you a peek on the cheek.

“Theyre almost as beautiful as you.” She adds, smiling, looking into your eyes, watching you get embarrassed.

“It's true! Don't try to deny it–” Aang quickly backs up the waterbender, voice dying down as the crickets begin to sing louder.

Nicknames: ATLA Edition

Adult Gaang x Black GN Reader

Summary: Pet names and nicknames the Gaang would have for you in a relationship

Warnings: Some swearing, slightly suggestive stuff

Aang

Your Name

Aang doesn't really use nicknames with you (with some exceptions of course), but generally speaking, Aang prefers to fluster you with his words and actions, not necessarily by calling you by some nickname. He might shorten your name or give you a nickname based on some variation of your name but for the most part, he just calls you by your name.

Gorgeous

Exception case #1, sometimes Aang is so in awe of you that he just sits there and admires you in order to appreciate how lucky he truly is. In these cases, it's quite common for an off-hand "gorgeous" or "wow" to slip out when addressing you since he doesn't really realize that he's speaking out loud. Whether you call him on it or not is up to you though.

Sweetie

Exception case #2, usually employed when you're behaving abnormally or he's being kind of a little shit. For example, if you aren't acting like yourself, he'll pull you aside and ask privately, "Sweetheart what's wrong?" Other times, he knows exactly what's wrong with you and he's only asking you what's wrong to tease you further.

Katara

Cutie

When Katara's in more of a teasing or flirtatious mood, she'll sidle up to you and greet you with a charming, "Hey cutie." Beware of Katara when she's in this state though, as "cutie" usually means that she's in an affectionate mood and she will become the slightest bit grumpy if you don't let her cuddle you.

Babe

Usually used in her day to day vocabulary, especially if she's calling out for you or trying to get your attention. Babe and baby are just the standard ways that Katara addresses you and you're going to just have to get used to it.

Precious One

Most of Katara's terms of endearment are going to come from her native language. Some of the terms she uses so often that you'll pick up their meaning relatively easy (not that she would keep their meaning a secret from you). Precious one, dear heart, and my love are all terms that she will whisper to you in her language. She loves using terms in her language as they create a sort of private barrier around the two of you, excluding any non-Southern Water Tribe residents from the intimate depths of your conversation.

Sokka

Snookums

Sokka unironically calls you his Snookum Wookum Bug A Bear and he has zero shame about it. It's almost like a challenge for him to come up with the most embarrassing combination of pet names in order to generate the maximum amount of embarrassment and cringe for everyone in the room. Katara has tried to make fun of him in the past but he simply reminds her that he knows exactly how sappy she is in their native tongue.

Hon'

When Sokka's not min/maxing cringe, he does just refer to you normally, either calling by your name or 'Honey'— hon' for short. Though not as common, he does enjoy proclaiming "my honey would never" in varying shades of disbelief depending on what random thing you've been jokingly accused of.

[Insert Complimentary Adjective]

I mean what is there to say? Sokka is your #1 hype man, one moment he's calling you a genius, the next, you're the most creative person he's ever met! It doesn't matter what you do, Sokka's always ready with a well-thought out nickname to highlight your best qualities.

Suki

Cutie

Another person who calls you cutie when teasing you, she does mean it genuinely though. You're just so cute that she can't help but to verbalize it, lest she combust from anticipation.

My Hero

This is usually a bit more sarcastic. If you do anything for Suki, even something as small as handing her a pen when she needs to write, she'll smile and say "my hero", placing a kiss on your cheek before continuing on with her business.

My Love

To Suki, there's nothing that means more to her than letting you know that you're loved. She loves you so much and to her it's a shame that she can't just beam the love she holds for you straight into your heart. To her, saying "my love" in between kisses is nothing but a cheap reminder compared to the depth of affection she feels for you.

Toph

Nerd

Toph is a lot more emotionally in tune than most people would give her credit for. She can feel the intensity of certain emotions through her seismic sense, so having a level of awareness for the feelings of others is almost second nature to her. Unfortunately, her awareness of others and their feelings plummets when it comes to Toph and her feelings. Because of her nature and general emotional repression, Toph expresses her affection for you in...unique ways. Though she doesn't call you this to be mean, nerd is definitely a regular part of Toph's vocabulary, alongside a number of joke nicknames about you.

Baby

Mostly used when she's flirting with you and laying it on thick. She loves to feel the way your heart pitter patters when she calls you baby. A whistle and a murmured, "Damn baby" usually sends you into an embarrassed frenzy, which always puts a smile on her face.

If you turn the tables on her and call her baby, she'll be putty in your hands.

Dummy

Another name that Toph calls you because, well, she's Toph. Usually reserved for the times that you behave recklessly, causing her to panic when she can no longer sense you in the midst of chaos and commotion. When it's all over, and her heart finally calms down, she'll go up to you and say, "You're a real dummy you know that?"

Zuko

Your Name

Like Aang, Zuko is someone who doesn't really use nicknames. He prefers using your name because it's yours and though he may not be the only person blessed with the privilege of knowing and saying your name, the reverence in his tone when he say it sets him apart from all others.

Darling

Zuko is very private with his affection, his preference for using your name isn't just because he loves saying it so much. He's not that big on PDA, and part of that is keeping nicknames and pet names between the two of you (the sappy way he always says your name makes his stance null and void, but let's let him be delulu). In those quiet moments he's able to steal with you, he's so gentle and affectionate. A kiss on your hand accompanied by a, "Hello my darling, how has your day been?", is all he can afford to give in these moments, but, his affections are cherished nonetheless.

My Love

Zuko calls you his love like it's a sacred vow—for him it probably is. Usually reserved for the late nights when neither of you can quite find sleep and your conversations consist more of half-baked thoughts than the intelligent repartee you both are capable of. Zuko, half-asleep, tells you of how you're the greatest thing that's ever happened to him, "You are the greatest blessing, my love."

You loved Sokka like a brother. Really, you did. But he could be incredibly dense sometimes.

An unsure voice from outside your tent pulls Katara's lips away from your throat, and Suki's head from between your thighs.

"Y/n? Can I talk to you?" It was Sokka.

Your eyes widen and you push Katara away from you. "Uh, sure! Can you talk from out there? Im uh...not decent."

"Uh, sure. Anyways, I need some advice. Do you know what Suki's favorite flowers are?" He asks nervously.

You slap a hand to your forehead. "Uh, I think she likes roses? Why?"

"Well," he starts. "I think I might like her."

Suki coughs and your eyes widen. "Are you okay?" Sokka asks from outside.

"Yeah Im fine, Sokka. Are you sure thats uh....a good idea?"

"Why not? You were the one that told me to follow my heart," he accusingly says.

"Well, you know Suki doesnt...roll that way, right?"

There is silence on the other end. Only for a minute. "Really?"

You nod before realizing he cant see you. "Uh, yes! Sorry, Sokka."

He sighs. "Everytime! Everytime i like someone, they are either taken, gay, or turn into some kind of angelic spirit!"

Katara laughs silently. You catch Suki's eyes and they glint micheveously before she dives back into your aching center. "Ah!"

"Y/n!? Whats wrong!? Are you okay?" Sokka voices in concern.

"Yes, Sokka! Im fine there was a....a spider! Yeah, everythings fine but I think Im going to head to bed so goodnight!" You rush out, quickly clamping your mouth shut as to not release another moan.
