David Rose is a good person! And he's trying his best to get his boyfriend and his best friend through the holidays with a trip to Christmas World. Things don't go as planned of course, but there is all kind of friendly ridiculousness to be had including karaoke and wine and a too small house in Santa's village.

I wrote and posted a fic for the first time in 4 years. I actually joined a fandom by talking to other people in said fandom instead of just hanging out on the periphery for the first time in about a decade. Hi, fandom! This is fun :) I still miss my people but it's getting better.
Yeah you did write and post a fic and it’s a fucking awesome one! It can be so hard to come into a new fandom—for me it’s like going to a party where you might not know very many people and you want to make new friends, everyone seems so cool, but there’s a certain degree of apprehension. But -- and this might be my bias speaking—as someone who’s also new in this same fandom, you have been nothing but a delight and a joy to talk to, and I am so, so thankful you’ve decided to talk with others and interact. I also get what you mean about missing your people, and that actually speaks really well of you, but it’s fantastic that you’re also getting a few new people, too.

Oh god the lying there for 5 hours is the worst please just put me in a coma am I right? Hope it gets better.
It’s The Worst! I don’t need help with rumination! I can do that just as well while brushing my teeth or editing or watching Bake Off as I can while staring at my fan! My fan isn’t even cool! I lost those Tiffany-eque lamp cones at least three moves ago!
I did hit a point last night at like, 4am where I started planning collages based on the color patterns of the light thrown from my window and night light. Gosh I hope I can sleep like a normal person tonight.
Do we know how many and what years exactly Moira was on Sunrise Bay? Like was it when David and Alexis were kids? Before they were born? Later?
okay, so i’m gonna preface this with the giant caveat that, as we all know, time is meaningless on this show. but based on the details we’ve got, i def think it’s before the kids are born.
she says in “ronnie’s party” that she had a 6 ½ season television career, and johnny in “wine and roses” mentions seasons 3, 4, and 5. so based on that, she was on sunrise bay somewhere between seasons 1 and 9. (if it’s 6 ½ seasons starting at s1, that takes you through part of s7; if s3 was her first season, then she made it through part of s9.) that’s presuming of course that her seasons were all consecutive and not one of those things where they made it look like she was killed off and came back a few seasons later or something.
anyway. the reason i say that it was probably before the kids were born is that in “rock on!” we get the training video with moira, which was clearly made in the 80s. in it, she mentions a tape from season 21 of sunrise bay. so even if we go with the training video being made in ‘89 (which i doubt–it def looks older) and s21 having aired that same year, that puts s1 airing in 1968 and thus the latest year moira could have been on it was 1977. if the video is from earlier in the 80s, that pushes the end of her stint on the show even earlier. either way, that’s definitely well before david was born (presumably in 83, though it could be 82, depending on which pin you go with as his birthdate).
so yeah. she seems to have been on 6 ½ seasons somewhere in the 60s to 70s, before david and alexis were born.

I don’t have access to my playlists atm and I’ve also been told that my taste is music is too random.
Whoever said that as if it was an insult needs to meet me behind the bleaches so I can physically fight them. Random is GOOD! Random is awesome! Someone just recommended Gloryhammer to me and it’s the most random fucking rec I’ve ever gotten and you know what? I’M DIGGING IT. So whenever you get access to your playlist I would be honored to hear what’s on them.
@sullymygoodname asked if i could type up the liner notes from songs from a broken chair so here you go:
