Rules & FAQ

We provide the prompts for you to claim. There will be 25 prompts of various types written by the three moderators. Such as canon-divergent, variety of AU's like high school and historical, A/B/O, etc. These prompts are a starting point for our participants to create. We want to inspire and help you to create your next great fanfic. 

This is a Top Dean/Bottom Cas Bang challenge like our sister bang, BCBB.  Please no switching or bottom Dean (either explicit, which is very much not required, or implied). If you cannot adhere to this rule, we ask that you kindly find a different event. 

You must be 18 years and older.

Don’t be an assbutt. Those found being ugly to others will be permanently banned from the event. We do not and will not tolerate individuals who hide behind their keyboards to ridicule others.

Destiel orientated, any rating.

If Mature/Explicit, tag accordingly. Please make sure that everything is clearly tagged. And if you’re wondering if something even needs a tag, assume it does and add one. One can’t have enough tags as it leaves no room for misinterpretation, confusion, or angry readers down the line.

Prompts will be advertised once sign-ups are closed. With this in mind, you must have reliable internet service.

Be familiar with the schedule. We’ll notify you via Discord & Tumblr, but you gotta pace yourself. Our schedule is generous & our deadlines are firm.

Authors can claim one prompt.

Authors have 25K minimum, no upper limit.

Artists can claim their own prompt or join up with an author.

Artist have a 3 art piece minimum.

We accept all mediums of arts, traditional, digital, drawings, paintings, graphics, manips, manipulations; SFW and NSFW. Keep in mind that Tumblr will not allow us to promote NSFW. The NSFW can be cropped to promote and full on AO3.

An individual can be both an author & artist, i.e., you can sign up as an author who arts their own story. We ask that people do not claim two different prompts to write and art. If an individual is an artist, who is willing to do multiple author prompts…that’s great!

If working with an artist, please keep artists in the loop where you are in your process. And vice versa. Communication is key.

If you have to drop out at any point, please let the moderators know immediately. Claims are different for this bang. If you drop out after claiming your prompt, we may ban you from the event for the next round depending on the circumstances.  If you drop after pairing up with an artist, we will ban you from the next round. And if you simply disappear without alerting mods we will be banning you for far longer than a year.

TDBC...BDTC...ABC..123?

Just kidding. But for real, some of you may be wondering. TDBC? What does that mean? And why!?

Well, it means TopDeanBottomCas. If you are gonna write the good stuff, which btw is not a requirement for this event, that’s what we wanna read. No other intentions besides that, it’s simply just a preference. (Just like some people only wanna read BottomDean smutty fandom works.) The last time we checked, on Ao3 there are 1705 works that are tagged with TCBD and only 881 with TDBC. We just wanna level the playing field, introduce a new dynamic within our OTP. 

@xharuka17x, one of our mods and fellow summary creator, wrote some of her particular summaries with the mindset of including A/B/O dynamics with Omega Castiel. (You don't have to write A/B/O, but sometimes it makes it spicy... no?) We just wanna honor her vision for these prompts. 

We look forward to signups and seeing you take these ideas and running with them!
