Open weave summer obi made from basho (Japanese fiber banana) by United arrows. Basho fibers items are very rare nowadays I was happy to find this one!

White & black swans summer obi by Modern Antenna. Swans are an unusual motif in kimono fashion, I like how they paired this obi with a kimono bearing crowns - did you know that in England all swans belongs to the Queen?

Bingata style printed kimono by Gofukuyasan. Bingata is a dyeing technique used in Okinawa. I love that they choose to pair those kimono with minsa obi.
Minsa is a traditional woven motif from Taketomijima (a south okinawan island), alternating four and five squares ensembles. This pattern was believed to protect people, following the saying “one weave, one soul”.
