So when wicked was defeated a second time (wicked vip ending) he was going try and revive himself a third time BUT! Solaria (the name of the sun in this au) decides to interfere. She knows that wicked has a lot of magic and can be very useful. So she makes a deal with wicked (more like forced him) that he will serve her and protect the heroes in exchange for more power. that's why he appears so many times to interrupt the battle and save the heroes from dying. She is also the reason why he has that diamond thing on his wand and a yellow bowtie. Those were gifts from her. The diamond extension on his wand was for power and the bow is practically her mark to symbolize there connection.
