The Boys are Back

Welcome back Rangerstown! 

I hope you all had fantastic Holidays and are ready for some Rangers hockey tonight! Lucky for us, all three of our fallen soldiers will be coming back tonight, unless something drastic occurred between Sunday’s practice and today, according to Vigneault. 

Kevin Klein was sidelined by a straight oblique November 30th, Antti Raanta was taken out by a concussion December 17th against the Wild, and Dan Girardi was injured in the Blueshirts’ last contest against Vancouver. However, Vigneault had them all on the ice yesterday and Raanta is set to serve as Henrik’s back-up tonight against the predators. 

Girardi had a lot to say about his team’s performance as of late and knows he is part of the problem, but also, part of the solution. 

“It’s tough not being out there to help them. If we (he and Klein) can both go, hopefully we can provide a spark (Monday),” said defensemen, Dan Girardi. 

Everyone on the Rangers camp seems to think that the four day break has re-energized them and allowed them to refresh and refocus their game so they can no longer suffer from embarrassing loses but also find more constructive ways to win games, instead of just squeaking by. 

Pre-game report to come later, I’m looking forward to seeing these boys back in good health.

The rain stopped for a bit. Snowy mountains poked through holes in the clouds. Everything about this morning was lovely.

every day i have been wrangling a tense wire, smoothing it out, watching it retract into a tangle, and proceeded to slowly smooth it out again. The work is exhausting, change is slow, but working against so much friction is teaching me many things.

the design of abstract/complex systems is insane, and i get vibes that the people involved in the design of these systems go crazy and complacent after a while. I tell myself every day i will not become complacent. 

despite designing ideas, narratives, and information these days, the insight into the design of physical products i've been receiving as a by-product is something i believe very few people will experience in their lives. After IBM, whenever that is, I will teach other designers what I have learned.
