Nuntius Amoris Prologue

Summary: Based off of the film Because I Love You. Jung Hoseok is on his way to purpose to the love of his life when he gets into an unexpected accident. What happens when his spirit starts entering the bodies of people struggling with love?

Love. An intense feeling of deep affection.

Or at least... that’s what google says. But... it’s so much more than that.

Love is a complex, indescribable feeling that is able to lead people to pure happiness or lead them to the dangerous perils of the world. 

For Jung Hoseok, love is his soon-to-be fiance.

Just hearing his fiance’s voice is able to drive him crazy.

“Okay. Take your time, Hoseok. Drive safely!”

Hoseok grins as he hangs up after talking to his love. He was currently on the way to meet her at the park that was famously known for their beautiful garden. They had been dating for two years now and Hoseok finally got the guts to propose for her to be his wife and live with him forever and ever.

He hums as he looks at the flowers for the nth time that day, imagining how perfect it’ll be.

Hoseok sighs in glee and grins at the lines up trees down the road. Then, he is suddenly hit with the realization.

“THE RING!!!” he screeches.

He clearly remembers the ring he had bought a month ago, left on his kitchen table.

“Oh my… How do you forget the ring!?” Hoseok yells at himself. He looks to his left checking if there are no cars. Seeing none, he starts to turn back to retrieve his ring when he suddenly hears honking and a large truck carrying fruit barreling towards him.

It seems to happen in slow motion.

To you at least.

You gasp as you watch the small car flip over and the fruits that were on the truck, spilling onto the street. You ignore the bystanders looking at you in shock as you make your way over to the upside down car in caution. Through the open window, you see a guy who seemed to be around your age in a light gray suit and blood trickling down the side of his forehead. You take note how he seemed to have a conflicted expression and how there were pink flower petals scattered around him.

He must’ve been going on a special date.

You silently shake your head in pity as the ambulance arrives and puts the man on a stretcher to take him away to Asan Hospital.

You sigh at his bad luck and proceed walking to work with a slight gloomy feeling.
