Broken Bridge Snip It. Part 4.
Its Sky’s turn! Honestly....this was a hard chapter to write. I’ve never actually played Skyward Sword and only know of its plot/gameplay through let’s plays of it on youtube. I am hell of excited for its release on the switch thought. I want to bash Demises stupid head with the Master Sword and ....
*cough* Excuse me.....Anyway....
I waffled back and forth with how to characters Sky....On the one hand, Sleepily Link is adorable and he deserves all the hugs. But on the other hand... He is the canonical first chosen hero... and a trained knight to boot. I hope I’ve done him justice...
Breakfast had ended quickly. Or at least breakfast for Sky, Hyrule and Four it had ended quickly. The three heroes making a beeline for the door as Legend and War tried to stop Wild from taking on several Chef knives. Time had his hand full as well. With one arm he held back a hyped-up Wind, who was cheering on Wild, and in the other his shoved a nervous Twilight back into his seat. Sky gave him a sympathetic smile as he escaped the chaos of the now angry kitchen.
Can magical kitchen get angry? Sky thought to himself.
Can all of the rooms? Or just some of the rooms?
The more Sky thought about the manners of inanimate objects, the more his mind started to hurt. Frustrated, he blew a sign out of his stuffy noise. He hated stuffy noises, well maybe not hate. More like strongly disliked. He never minded getting sick back of Skyloft. Zelda or Sun, rather, would take care of him when he was. And scold him for getting sick in the first place. He chuckled as he thought back to time when Goose ran out into an ice storm with the sole purpose of getting sick. Once he was, beg Sun to take care of him. And she did…. Sorta…
He slapped him silly and then drug him off to the Nursing Wing of the academy. He ended up being bed-bound for two weeks for the stunt. Sky and Sun had…. Let’s say, mixed feelings for him during his… illness.
Sun ever pragmatic, hated his guts but help care for him anyway while he was sick. She was a healer after all.
Sky on the other hand felt slightly sorry for him and made visit to the wing almost every day. Mostly to help Sun, but also to keep Goose company when she asked him too. He also may have practice with his lyre during those long visits. He would like to think he gotten better since then.
He chuckled again as his mind dip back into simpler times.
Wait! Sky shook his head. Focus Link! This is no time to walk down memory lane. You have to think of a way to help Legend.
Hhhmmmm. Sky lightly tapped his finger on his side. What would Sun do….
Well, he knew what Sun would do. She would drag Legend off to a therapy season without a second thought. And if he even tried to resist…. Oh… Hylda… if he tried to resist, he would face the full force of a determined Zelda with goddess powers. He didn’t pick the nickname Sun, because she was bright and sunny. Well, she is, but he picked the nickname Sun, because she can wield the full power of a sun with ease. Mortal or not, if given the change Sun would have tried to face Demise on her own.
Hhmm…. Legend was too different from Sun, really……
Sky had no doubt in his mind that Legend would burn Demise to ash if given half the chance. He listed their similarities.
They were both strong magic users. Sun was no doubt stronger, but Legend was crafty and probably has some sort of trick up his sleeve.
Both were very pragmatic and preferred straight forward answers. And Stubborn too, Sky thought. But then again, so was ever Link and Zelda incarnation. He chuckled; must be a family trait.
Another “family” trait of theirs was a short temper. Not to mention the grudges both of them could hold. Sun still hasn’t fully forgiven him for accidently cut her hair when they were kids.
What other simulates are there? Sky thought harder.
Well, Sun loves sunflowers. But Legend doesn’t. Does even have a favorite flower?
No, question for later. Oh, Legend likes coffee….. and Sun loves tea…..
Um, okay. Sun loves sunny days, long walks and picnics in flower fields. And Legend will complain about the weather, the walking and the pollen in the air. Legend could find a way complain about anything, really.
Umm….. they both have blond hair….?
Sky signed again.
He needed to find a way to help Legend, without trigger his….. delicate…. Sensibility…… maybe. Sky didn’t know. He just didn’t want the younger hero to be upset with him for prying into sensitive matters and hid back behind his walls. The group had worked hard to break down those stonewalls and Sky wasn’t going to let Legend hid from them again. He was worried about Legend. He was worried about all the Links. They were his friends, his legacy, his brothers. And Hylia Blessing! He was going to help his brothers.
Even if he didn’t know how…..
The chapters almost down, btw.... I plan to have it up by the end of the week.
Peace out and Happy Sunday.
