For the franchise’s foray onto the then-new Game Boy Advance, Taito once again loaned the franchise out to another developer, the recipient this time being Altron, a company mostly known for licensed titles. Instead of following in the footsteps of the SNES games, Altron decided to create an entry that feels like a sequel specifically to the arcade game. This could be considered a flawed idea, seeing as how the SNES games are the most beloved entries, but if you have fond memories of the arcade game and aren’t looking for a co-op experience, this installment isn’t a bad way to spend an afternoon by any means.

uuuuuhhh.....hmm ok i got it off a fashion blog but by reverse google searching the picture i got that it’s part of the david koma (fall 2014) rtw collection, but i’m sorry i don’t think the specific dress is up for sale anymore as far as i can find.....here’s a website i found with some of his other stuff up for sale if you wanna scroll through though! Magical Pop’n
Magical Pop’n is one of the best lesser-known Super Nintendo platform games. This would be quite a feat in itself, given that the SNES was home to hundreds of colorful fantasy platformers. It becomes even more impressive when you learn that it was made by a short-lived company, Polestar, which is not really known for anything else. And none of their few other titles was another platformer, either! Despite this, it fared quite poorly in its home country of Japan, being met with indifference and middling reviews in gaming publications. One of the reasons why the game was never ported and became a rarity, fetching ridiculously high prices on auction sites.

Wakusei Aton Gaiden
In November 1990, the National Tax Agency of Japan held an event called “The Week to Understand Taxes”, which included several exhibitions and offices around the country. In order to appeal to children, the government commissioned a short anime video called Wakusei Aton (“Planet Aton”), along with an accompanying video game, Wakusei Aton Gaiden. The backstory for the game is that aliens, led by the evil King Quizzer, have attacked this planet and stolen their tax dollars, sending society into ruin. Kanta, an Earthling boy, teams up with Yuri, the princess of Aton, to hop in a ship and get back those funds.
