WAFCON final was so incredibly fun.

Nigeria has been solid on defense all tournament, only let in one goal, but suddenly go down 2 quick in the first half. Second half Nigeria puts some subs in and gets 2 back in quick succession. Morocco almost went back ahead, VAR called penalty back. Nigeria gets a third!!!

Super Falcons are WAFCON champs again (x10) and J***e V***a gets nothing (sorry Morocco players I will not cheer for that man or anything he is involved in)

Alozie (Dash) killed it and has done so well all tournament. Abiodun (wayward Spirit) also impressed. Oshoala (Bay) hasn’t been incredibly impressive this tournament and only got 20-ish in the final, but still solid showing!!

I’ve just watched the Lauren James incident and I’m sorry but there is absolutely zero excuse for that. You will not get me to believe it was accidental. I don’t care that she’s young, she’s been a professional player for years now, control your emotions.

These games have camera angles of every single inch of the field, how can you possibly think you’d get away with something so incredibly intentional?? It’s just stupid.

I don’t know what the rules are for the tournament but the foul being purposeful and malicious should earn her a multi-match suspension but if not, Weigman should bench her for the rest of the tournament.
