hc that the Kents annually always watch Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve and when bruce and clark start seeing each other Clark forces Bruce and Dick to watch it with (to Bruce’s dismay and Dick’s delight). It becomes a yearly tradition for Dick and Clark to watch it ever NYE

I’m plotting out a superbat + Batfamily Von Trapp AU. 🫣 It’s the sound of music but instead of a singing it’s crime fighting. Bruce has seven children (Julie Andrews voice: seven— SEVEN children???), so it’s kinda perfect. Clark is Maria of course. But with a few twists!

Clark, guilt ridden and traumatized by a tragic event he blames himself for failing to prevent, has since left Superman behind in shame and disgrace. He’s been living a lonely, unfulfilled, and thoroughly ordinary life for some years when he receives a mysterious job offer from Bruce Wayne: he needs someone with a very particular set of skills to — lets call it “nanny” for his seven children. Intrigued, and with nothing else going for him, he accepts.

Bruce, due to one too many close calls with his children’s lives, and very nearly losing Jason in Jokers vicious attack as the catalyst, is determined to remove his kids from the vigilante lifestyle. Unfortunately the bat kids don’t react very well to being permanently benched, and Bruce soon realizes he needs to bring in the big guns. Who better to keep his kids in check and out of capes than the former Superman himself?

Clark, out numbered by, and growing increasingly fond of, the flock of devious young vigilantes determined to fight crime against their father’s orders, finds himself less out of his depth than he thought he’d be.

Bruce, sharing his identity, his home, and essentially raising his children with his old colleague, finds himself, in contrast, much further out of his depth than he ever dreamed of.

Amidst a nefarious rogue plot or two, can Clark help Bruce balance his fears for his children’s safety with their need to fight crime? Will the children be able to overcome their resentment over their father’s obsessive over protectiveness? Can Bruce and the children help Clark work through his guilt and embrace being Superman again?

Working title: The Wayne Family Vigilantes
