My full list of Super Names for Miraculous (in my AU)

Because of the poor writing of Miraculous and how said poor writing was spawned from the fact that the writers/creator clearly didn't have a lot of it planned going in, it has spawned a type of paranoia where I need to make sure my au/rewrite has EVERYTHING planned out before I really get into it. Thus I made this chart of every character I could think of that could end up using a miraculous and what their superhero names would be with each one. (I'm NOT gonna do this for the other boxes, I would actually die.)

The list was originally much shorter but then I came across the Minnie Miraculous au by goatlilly who then also made an adult au, both of which unlocked an entire abyss of potential kwami swappings in my brain.

Thus I've decided that I wanted to showcase my chart because I reached 100 characters 🎉😭 and I need to share how fucking insane I am with people so I can laugh about it.

And I also might still edit this in the future because I'm actually losing my mind 💀

Just some notes bc some of these characters don't exist in canon or are nameless:

Rani & Elias = Marc's parents

Raven = Ivan's little sister (mentioned in a miraculous card series, we have not seen her in canon)

Noel = Nino's little bro (that's his name in the French dub. I decided to keep it that)

Dopey & Sleepy are just what I called Ray's other bully friends bc I couldn't have been bothered to remember there names.

Rose having 2 moms and 2 dads is not a divorce situation, they're poly.

Mime Fred & Step wife = Mylene's dad and mom who walked out. Didn't even legally get divorced bc her mom is messy like that. Fred would have a new girlfriend that Mylene basically sees as a mom by now tho.

And just for some reminders; Shirel=Nathaniel's mom, Colt=Felix's dad, and in my au Socqueline is Sabine's sister, Marinette's aunt.

And if you zoom in you may notice very tiny writing that you cannot read — those are just little notes because some of these super names are a mix of 2 words, often of which are from other languages. Because I like to go back and double check myself to make sure I didn't screw up on my research, so I'm just making sure I know exactly what means what so that I don't end up accidentally getting rid of perfectly good super names thinking I fibbed.

Edit: Now that Adrien has canonically used the turtle miraculous, I'm gonna keep Trionyx for Nathaniel. 1) I think it just fits him. 2) I am a subscriber to Adrien being Plastron because "carapace" is the term for the top half of a turtle shell while "plastron" in the term for the bottom half. So Adrien and Nino having matching turtle names as besties is just too cute.

Edit 2: I got rid of a character and added in Mr. Ramier, aka Mr. Pigeon, for shits and giggles.

My oc was made in lab using both Batman’s and Joker’s DNA years after they died. This will not her permanent name just the one till she becomes her own hero and no longer Shadow’s (oc) sidekick. I already have her adult name. She can summon their souls by connecting to Gotham’s whole thing (gotham’s like an eldritch being) but can’t summon every dead person just them because of her DNA and Batman and Joker being suchhe important parts of Gotham.

I Finally Came Up with the Perfect Ideas for the Mighty Solars’ Superhero Names

Great news fellow followers! I finally got the perfect names for the Mighty Solars! They are the right choices and after some calculating, these are the right ones:

Korvo- Quasarblast

Terry- Mighton

Yumyulack- Vil-Gil-An-T

Jesse- Fung-irl (it was inspired by the flower fungus on her head from Solar Opposites Season 1 Episode 4)

Pupa- The Mighty Pupa

I’m really annoyed by the double usage of codenames, by different people at the same time.

I get it for an awkward overlap after, say, resurrecting someone from the dead after someone else took over their mantle. The one group that’s excused from this are Green Lanterns since that’s kinda more of a job title.

But others? And at this point in time, DC is just being really fucking lazy and uninspired. They’ve overdoing it so hard. I do not like that we currently have two Supermen at the same time and two Aquamen and two Robins and--You get the picture, yeah?

It’s also unnecessarily confusing in-universe? Like, this is entirely impractical and defeats the purpose of codenames a little bit, because the purpose should be that you can communicate with other heroes in the field without using their civil identity names. But if you’re out there with Clark and Jon Kent... You try warning or alerting one Superman. But. Which one.

Think about Diana and Clark as a ship whatever you want, at the very least their son Jon Kent got his own costume and his own superhero-name. Also, it’s kind of weird that they gave Jon this kind of complex about being in his dad’s shadow and then they just... draw Clark but younger. It’d honestly been okay for Jon to... to do his own thing? Instead of being Superboy while Conner still exists and Superman while Clark is still around. Yeah, cute little kiddo Jon as Superboy was adorable and I get it, sure. But he should have gotten teenage years and figuring himself out and making a name for himself.

In some cases, this is an issue of “just let the older one retire the name”. Like Tim Drake, who for reasons beyond my comprehension went back to being Robin even though the mantle had already been passed on to Damian? Why. Even if you wanted to have him have an identity crisis to land on a new name, you could have gone there from a place of Red Robin.

In other cases, it just comes off as kind of lazy to me. Having Cass and Steph share the mantle of Batgirl in the beginning, when they were figuring themselves out as vigilantes, was cute. But at this point, I do think they deserve their own codenames.

And that’s kind of the gist of it. For everyone, honestly. It’s lazy and uncreative, I think certain characters deserve to forge their own path instead of being burdened with the legacy and I think that other legacy characters deserve to take over while their mentors retire, instead of carrying this big name but having to share it and actively standing in the shadow of the big hero who also goes by the same name.
