an interesting analogy is when censorship is compared to ai in terms of the short term thinking of those who advocate for it and the long term harm that those who are against try to warn people about.

because right now, there are many people advocating for the use of ai in workspaces, in creative spaces, places where it should not be, where it it should not be allowed to coexist. just as there are many who believe that the censoring of books and media—sexual, dark, even the worst parts of human history—need to be covered to 'protect the children and the innocent.'

where the reality is that both of these things that the rich and corrupted advocate for so heavily will end up being the demise of humanity's capability to think reasonably and use logic for itself, it will be the downfall of people knowing how to tolerate and recognize what is good, bad, and the nuance and fallacies that come with not everyone having the same pattern of thinking.

humanity is falling victim to these issues. and more people need to recognize that.
