The Treasures of the Sea. Allah has blessed us with so many blessing not only above the land, but beyond as well. SUBHAN ALLAH, All glory belongs to him alone and He is the most Perfect. يَخْرُجُ مِنْهُمَا ٱللُّؤْلُؤُ وَٱلْمَرْجَانُ From them both come forth the pearls and corals. (55.22) In the earlier post this week, we had seen how two different water in the seas dont mix with each other. Allah further talks about them, as to what all he has placed within those water bodies as blessings A pearl to be formed takes a lot of time. Some pearls take 6-12 months to finish, while the larger ones stay in the shell for 2 years+. Everything happens in stages, and everything takes time. In nature, Allah has given us many signs to ponder and reflect about in our lives. WHO ARE THE QAASIRAT AT-TARF ? verse 56: (Wherein will be), meaning on these couches or beds, قَـصِرَتُ الطَّرْفِ(Qasirat At-Tarf) chaste females, wives restraining their glances, desiring none except their husbands, seeing them as the most beautiful men in Paradise. This was said by Ibn `Abbas, Qatadah, `Ata' Al-Khurasani and Ibn Zayd. It was reported that one of these wives will say to her husband, "By Allah! I neither see anything in Paradise more handsome than you nor more beloved to me than you. So praise be to Allah Who made you for me and made me for you.'' verse 56 (contd.): Allah said, (whom never deflowered a human before nor Jinn ) meaning they are delightful virgins of comparable age who never had sexual intercourse with anyone, whether from mankind or Jinns, before their husbands. This is also a proof that the believers among the Jinns will enter Paradise. Artat bin Al-Mundhir said, "Damrah bin Habib was asked if the Jinns will enter Paradise and he said, `Yes, and they will get married. The Jinns will have Jinn women and the humans will have female humans.''' Allah's statement: (whom never deflowered a human before nor Jinn. Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you both deny) Then Allah describes these women for the proposed: verse 58: (they are like Yaqut and Marjan.) Mujahid, Al-Hasan, Ibn Zayd and others said, "They are as pure as rubies and white as Marjan.'' Quranic verse فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you both deny Surah Rahman 55: v. 13 meaning, "O mankind and Jinn,which of the favors that Allah has given to you do you deny'' Mujahid and others said this, and it is apparent when one reads what comes after it. Meaning the favors that are obvious to you while you are surrounded by them, you cannot deny or reject them. So we say, just as the believers among the Jinns said, "O Allah! SCIENTIFIC FACT FROM THE QURAN رَبُّ ٱلْمَشْرِقَيْنِ وَرَبُّ ٱلْمَغْرِبَيْنِ He is Lord of the two easts and Lord of the two wests. Surah 55: Ar-Rahman: v.17 🔹️WHAT DOES TWO EASTS AND TWO WESTS MEAN? The point of sunrise keeps shifting throughout the year. Only on two days of the year known as ‘equinox’, does the sun rise exactly from due east. During summer solstice the sun rises from one extreme of the east and during winter solstice it rises from the other extreme. Similarly, the sun sets in one extreme of the west in summer solstice. It sets in the other extreme of the west in winter solstice. through out the year, the sun keeps rising from different points of the east and sets on different points of the west. This can be witnessed by people living in tall skyscrapers or elevated lands of certain areas. Thus when the Qur’an refers to Allah as the Lord of two easts and two wests, it means that Allah is the Lord of both the extremes of east and both the extremes of west. (solstice means: One of the two points in the ecliptic at which the sun is furthest from the celestial equator. This corresponds to one of two days in the year when the day is either longest or shortest.) 🔹️1400 years ago the Quran was revealed to the Prophet. How could have the Prophet amidst the sands of Arabia, known about this phenomenon. THE DAY OF JUDGEMENT verse 39: (So on that Day he will not be questioned about his sins, (neither) human nor Jinn.) this is similar to His saying; (That will be a Day when they shall not speak, and they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse.)(77:35-36) This is the case at the time, then all the creatures will be questioned about their deeds. Allah said: (So, by your Lord, We shall certainly call all of them to account. For all that they used to do.)(15:92-93) Qatadah said, "On that they will be questioned and then their mouths will be sealed and their hands and feet will reveal what they used to do.'' Allah the Exalted said, verse 41: (The criminals will be known by their marks,) i.e., by special marks that distinguish them. Al-Hasan and Qatadah said, "They will be known by their dark faces and their blue eyes.'' I say that this contrasts to the marks that will distinguish the believers, such as the light that will appear on the parts of the body that they used to wash while performing ablution. THE JINNS REPLY TO THE VERSES ? The Quran is sent to whole of mankind, which includes men and jinn. Amongst the jinns are the believers and the others the Kaafirs. Like the humans, even jinns will be called onto account on the Day of judgement. When the group of Jinns heard the prophet's recitation of the Quran, they conveyed to their groups that it was a wonderful recital and they believed therein and will not enjoin anyone in worship with Allah. The incident of the jinns replying to the Prophet's recital is as below: Muhammad bin Al Munkadir narrated that: Jabir [may Allah be pleased with him] said: “The Messenger of Allah came out to his Companions, and recited Surat Ar-Rahman from its beginning to its end for them, and they were silent. So he said: ‘I recited it to the Jinns on the ‘Night of the Jinns,’ and they had a better response to it than you did. Each time I came to Allah’s saying: ‘Which of your Lords favor do you deny.’ They said: “We do not deny any of Your favors our Lord! And Yours is praise.” Jami At-Tirmidhi Vol. 5, Book 44, Hadith 3291 The power to talk to jinns was provided to Prophet Sulayman(as) alone and hence when the Prophet ﷺ wanted to tie up a jinn whom he had overcome during his prayer, he remembered the du’aa’ of Sulayman and did not do that.
