It is really funny to basically be putting together a critical reading of TVA and B&G that examines the character's view on religion and how that transforms their interactions with others, their preference in philosophy and logic, and the justifications and worldview they compare themselves and others to...
and then I'll wander into conversations that are like "wow isn't it so neat that Marius was so understanding of himself and others, and he is so disappointed that the world and the people that live in it cannot evolve from superstition."
And then I blink and stare at the wall, because the stoic-athiesm of Marius really is a whole ideological cesspool, isn't it?
