Trigger warning: surgery pictures Surgery was a success and I am resting comfortably in my room. I am doing well. Eating lots of ice chips right now it helps the throat. I am doing well and will be discharged tomorrow sometime. So Dr. Jeffrey took some pictures too and she gave them to me the first one of my vocal cords is before the procedure the 2nd is after see how she closed it off that raises the pitch she also tightened the muscles that controls the vocal cords. Well here we go again surgery day having throat surgery today January 27 2023 to fix the pitch of my voice. I am at the Royal Alexandra Hospital here in Edmonton I am scared to death right now laying here in this room alone waiting to go in. Being nervous isn't a bad thing for me because it shows that I want to live now when I was younger I wouldn't have cared what happened to me and if I lived or died and was suicidal prior to my transition. Well back to the hospital for more surgery. I had hyper granulation tissue which is a compilation from the vaginoplasty some people get we tried months of silver nitrate treatments and a cream called Betaderm 0.1% none of that worked so off to surgery. The surgery was done June 22 2022 by Dr. Flood at the Royal Alexandra Hospital here in Edmonton and I stayed over night The food was horrible I mean even the basic cook knows how to season food. The food is so bland at the hospital. The food tasted like a TV dinner last night so bland. Even the omelette this morning for breakfast was bland. I am glad to be out and home. I had to stay in overnight. They woke me up every 3 to 4 hours last night so I got very little sleep last night.
