Quick SF Recap

Imagine visiting a place you can’t afford to ever live. Cost of living is so high, you would think you were in the residential area of Beverly Hills or something. Think again, just go to San Francisco. I love San Francisco, the odd city structures of buildings slammed next to one another, I don’t think there are alley ways. They have an immaculate public transit system that puts Seattle and Tacoma to shame. Plenty of cool places to eat and lots to do, honestly the whole Bay Area is cool to say the least. I’ve yet to travel to San Diego, but I enjoy most of California outside of Los Angeles.

I’ve traveled San Fran a few times, but I’ve always missed out on visiting Chinatown. Supposedly, it’s the biggest Chinatown in America with plenty to offer, I just want to eat. I’ve at least gone down to Japantown, I’ve never heard of such a place, so I was curious. The best part about it was the book store, such an assortment of pop culture reads including books for adults without the curtains. I think it’s more embarrassing to be seen walking through “adults only” beaded curtains than just standing with the book in your hand. Best part was as I set the book down describing how to effectively shoot your own nude photos, I found a book on In Home Hip-Hop Producers. Fascinating photos of producer’s home set ups of speakers, mixers, drum machines, laptops, and sorted instruments. Best part about it, the photos were in black and white. Black and White photos and music studios go hand in hand in my opinion. Color doesn’t matter when the soul purpose is sound.

The food in SF is great too, I found a Korean/American Breakfast spot and spent $8 on bacon. I love bacon, you love bacon, we love bacon. The place is called Surisan SF, nice outdoor seating and a clean bathroom, that’s how you know it’ll be a high-quality food consumption experience. Cleanliness is next to Godliness … not sure if that’s a legitimate quote, but I heard it in a movie. I ordered Blueberry Crunch French Toast, Millionaire Bacon, and Cheddar Cheese Eggs. The French toast was as fluffy as a new comforter and sweet as your first kiss. The millionaire bacon was this thickly cut piece of pork lathered in sweet brown sugar and red pepper flakes. The bacon was like the demons and angles getting along in your mouth. Cheese Eggs are always wonderful.

My last trip to SF was for an art show called San Francisco Art Market. There was so much artwork, I became overwhelmed and left to explore the city. Overall, there’s plenty to do in such a place as San Francisco, California. Check it out sometime.
