Slavic Mythology: Svetovid Four-headed
Some character design practice. Inspired by deities from all around the world, from left to right: Parvati, Odin, Amaterasu, Svetovid, and Olorun 🌍 --- Drawing people is a lot of fun and I should definitely practice it more often (outside of doodling in my sketchbook, that is)
I was given this book, Heroes, Monsters and other Worlds from RUSSIAN MYTHOLOGY by Elizabeth Warner for my third birthday. The illustration by Alexander Koshkin depicts the Russian peasants destroying their idol of the formerly beloved god Perun, who, their leader has told them, they are now required to despise. There is nothing new under the sun, as it says in the Bible. #iconoclast #iconoclasts #blm #vandalism #icantbreathe https://www.instagram.com/p/CBgNNPzg2Vk/?igshid=1q8c0gjphjshq
