    B A S T I O N gave a loud and overly excited beep upon     seeing her, instantly stomping his way over before scooping     her up into a hug, being careful as to not hug too hard. I T     had felt like years had passed since he last saw her, and     his joy could not be contained, his upper body pivoting     and making them spin in a circle before he set her down.

    A few more ecstatic beeps left him as he looked down at     her, whistling a soft tune as he tried to calm himself, yet he     could not help but to bounce slightly on his feet.

At the voice, Eddie turned her head and frowned, brows lightly furrowing from beneath her porcelain owl mask. An audible, though muffled, snort left the woman as her face turned away and a hand lightly tapped her cheek absentmindedly.

“Mm, no. Nobody really knows who I am, nor do I wish for them to. If the mask wasn’t obvious enough, that is…” Eyes flicked to peer through darkened lenses at the stranger. “Redundant question to ask. Just cause someone helps ya out doesn’t mean they’re about to flaunt who the fuck they are.”

Yet this was probably the first instance when asked about her identity in the slightest that she didn’t let her real name slip. Woops.

“Fair enough.”

Xio shrugged as she stood up, brushing herself off. It wasn’t often that she actually needed any sort of saving or anything like that. put one hand in her back pocket, the other raising her rifle to her shoulder. She had been careless, not bothering to make sure that the room adjacent to her little nest was going to stay clear once she was ready, but that was on her.

“Got anything I can at least call you? I’ll even give mine first. Call me Xio. See? Manners.” There was something amused in Xio’s eyes, like she was teasing, and she wasn’t keeping it hidden like usual. The masked thing was kind of cool, after all.

“Look its... Its a long story okay. Big Money = Cute Penguin Rescue....” She said setting her bag down onto the floor full of her usual tools of the trade. “Broke him out of Penguin jail... now I don’t Know what to do with him... and I figured you knew something about birds so... here we are... till the heat dies down and I can move him into the hands of my employers...” She flopped down on the floor with a tired sigh, not really sure what she was getting into when she had signed up for this. “I named him Jeff... He seems to respond well to it. Please... help...”

stuart was facing her, his eyes , although blind , seeming to be staring directly at her . he put his hands were holding tightly onto his cane , half tempted to just pull his sword out. " you ... what ? " stuart's bottom lip trembled . " you can just ... you can't just beat a blind guy at cards , you should have let me win ! " stuart's tone went from very serious to a joking one , not meaning wholeheartedly what he said.
