Mei beamed at her omnic helper. “See, I told you you’d make the perfect lab assistant!” She slowly poured the green liquid into a larger beaker that held a red liquid. She watched as the color changed to a yellowish gold.

After a minute or two she poured the entire beaker of green liquid into the larger beaker. She flipped a switch and her stir bar began to spin in the larger beaker; this allowed the new concoction to mix together thoroughly.

B A S T I O N gave an appreciative chirp, a nod accompanying the sound that escaped him as he watched her with great interest, the liquids she was dealing with fascinating him as whirs and beeps emitted from his being. H E had no true idea on what this concoction could have possibly been, but it was sure making pretty colours!

H E wanted to know what she was making, if it was anything important. H E gave a curious beep and gestured at the beaker as it stirred on the bar and looked at her in hopes she would tell him what it was.

T H E Bastion unit gave a beep, perhaps one that was a bit more ecstatic than it should have been over something as simple as an invitation to join her on a walk. B U T how could he not be? H E enjoyed spending time with Mei, a good friend she was, one that would let him help her around in the lab when she asked and would talk to him when no-one else would, even if he couldn’t communicate back he liked to listen to her anyway.

N O W, Bastion was all set for the walk, doing a little dance as he stood in-place, waiting for her to lead the way, uncertain of the destination and way she wished to go in..

T H E kiss was completely unexpected yet welcomed, Bastion gave a cheerful and childish beep as the other Omnic placed the fatherly kiss on the top of his moss- covered head, the metal of their bodies giving a soft clink as it met for that single moment. H E chortled softly, beeping more as he placed his hand where he had been given the kiss.
