Glimpse: How the members handle Yexi having a boyfriend
Scoups: he will always see her as the little sister that he helped take care of. He would be hard to impress and would probably be the very last person to approve of someone she dates since the bar he sets is so high because he thinks she deserves perfection.
Jeonghan: he would think Yexi dating is the cutest thing ever. He would be welcoming to the guy until he screwed up. If he screwed up Jeonghan would be the member he should fear most.
Joshua: he'd be willing to help her date and find ways to make sure that her relationship isn't found out. He would be the one that would worry about that the most because he knows that if her relationship is found out that it would be hard for her and the hate would be overwhelming.
Jun: that his baby. He would have a hard time accepting the fact that she's dating. He'd whine and pout about it. As long as she was happy though he would support the relationship.
Hoshi: he'd tease her about it but also be the biggest fan of the relationship as long as it was a healthy one.
Wonwoo: he'd be happy as long as she was happy but the first time the guy made her cry he's basically dead to him. The glares would be deadly.
Woozi: he stays pretty hands off and doesn't have much of an opinion over the matter. But he would encourage her to write lyrics about all the emotions that happen in a relationship.
DK: when she's in a relationship and happy he is the biggest fan. That's his OTP as long as he's treating her right.
Minghao: He will be judging the guy from the first meeting. Scrutinizing everything he does and if he does Yexi dirty Minghao would put his zen life style on hold and throw hands.
Mingyu: he'd be whiney that someone else is taking Yexi's attention. He'd also be grumpy over the fact that he now has to be cautious of skinship with Yexi so it doesn't cause problems, but the day they break up it's back to cuddle time.
Vernon: he has no thoughts about it at all. Date, don't date, he doesn't care. He's supportive as long as she's happy.
Seungkwan: you better believe that if it's someone from the industry that he's going to be getting in touch with all his connections to find out as much as possible about the guy. He has high standards for Yexi and if the guy doesn't meet them, the guy has to go. But he's always there to listen to what she has to say, whether it be gushing or venting.
Dino: if he treats his Noona badly Dino is ready to square up. He just wants her happy and anyone that does not do that is at risk to end up in fisty cuffs.
Summary: Yexi has a realization that throws her into a panic and she needs her best friend to help her navigate it.
Yexi knocked on the door of the apartment and shifted from foot to foot while she waited impatiently. It took a few moments until the door opened and her best friend waved her inside where she immediately slipped off her shoes and grabbed her slippers before heading to sit on the couch.
"Okay, so what's going on? All you said was that you were heading over because it was an emergency. Which, by the way, interrupted my live with ARMY." even though he wasn't physically pouting she could hear it in his voice. "Wait, why are you in your pajamas?"
She waved off his minor worry, "I couldn't sleep and I was too lazy to change. Plus, you're the only one up at this god forsaken hour."
"Okay..." He let the word hang in the air waiting for her to answer him but all she did was pace in his living room while chewing on her thumb nail. "Seriously you're starting to freak me out, what's going on?"
She stopped her pacing to look up at him, "So you know how I've been binge watching Jun's new drama right?"
There was a moment of silence between them before Jungkook dropped his arms and looked at her incredulously, "This is why you're here at three in the morning?!"
"You don't understand!" she whined.
"I swear Yexi, If this is about the plot or something--"
"Its not!"
Jungkook raised an eyebrow at her as he sat down on the couch, "Then what the hell is going on?" He watched her start to pace again and shook his head at her not understanding what his best friend was freaking out about.
"So I've been watching Jun's drama, right? I've known him for so many years and he's like a brother to me..." she paused to worry her bottom lip.
"And?"
"And I finished the drama and now I'm feeling some type of way towards him!" She blurted out in a rush. The silence that hung in the air lasted longer than Yexi could stand before Jungkook burst out laughing causing her to glare at him. "What part of this is funny!?"
He put up a placating hand while trying to gain control of his laughter, "Sorry, Sorry! It's just you're freaking out because you found him attractive after watching his drama?"
"YES!" She yelled.
"Yex, it's a drama." He stated between fits of laughter.
Yexi glared at him, "Yes, I'm well aware of that. Thank you."
Jungkook gasped dramatically, "Oh my god! Your mom is going to be so happy about this."
Yexi kicked out at him but he was faster and caught her leg making her jerk it back towards her, "If you breathe a word of this to my mother I will disown you." she threatened.
"Oh, come on." he laughed, finding the entire situation hilarious.
"I seriously regret her learning Korean to be able to talk to you guys." she grumbled before looking back at him, "The last thing I need is my mother getting ideas."
"Why? She'd be so ecstatic to get the son in law she's wanted for you." he continued.
"It's not like that between us!" She snapped and he grinned at her.
"See. You don't see him that way so why are you freaking out?"
"Because it's weird feeling attracted to him like this." she mumbled.
"Odds are you like the character he played. How he was in the drama is probably different from how he normally acts around you." he said patting the space next to him.
Yexi walked over and plopped down beside him, "You don't understand. The fact that I'm even feeling this makes me terrified."
His brows furrowed, "Why?"
She sighed, "A few reasons. One, if I truly felt this way about one of the guys it could fuck with the team dynamic. Two, it would only prove everyone right that said I'd end up dating one of my members and I would get so much shit for it. I'd be attacked with comments calling me a whore and god knows what else."
"Okay, first, nothing would ever mess with your team dynamic and you know that. Second, I don't think that's what's happening right now." he shrugged.
"How so?"
Jungkook sighed, "Okay I'm going to be bluntly honest with you. At some point in the years we've known each other I ended up with the biggest crush on you," he watched as Yexi's eyes went wide, "but that's not the case anymore. Outside of my members you're the person that knows me best, its also no secret that you're attractive...someone would have to be blind not to see that," Jungkook gave her a shy smile with slightly flushed cheeks, "but the point I'm trying to make is that just because you find him attractive now or have a crush on him doesn't mean it's going to go anywhere. You decide where this goes Yex. If you decide you want to see where it goes then you can choose to tell him, or you can choose not to tell anyone, it's completely up to you. Even if you do end up having actual feelings for him it's not the end of the world. It wouldn't ruin anything. For me, I limited the amount of time I hung out with you when I was dealing with what I felt. It took a while but it did end up going away and I'm happier for that. You're like my other half, platonically of course."
He waited as Yexi processed everything he had told her before continuing, "If it makes you feel any better you are my parents 'Jun'."
Her eyes snapped up to meet his, "Wait, what?"
"Since my mom met you she's pushed me to make a move on you. She literally calls you her future daughter in law." he rolled his eyes.
She grinned triumphantly, "I knew I was the favorite."
This time Jungkook rolled his eyes because of her, "Yes, yes, you're the favorite." The two sat in silence for a bit before he continued, "Do you feel better now?"
"I guess. I'm still processing some of it, ya know 'cause..." she glanced at him only to look away a few seconds later, "Anyways. Can I just crash here?"
"Yeah, guest room is finally set up. Just make sure you tell someone where you are. I don't want anyone beating down my door tomorrow morning." He shot her a pointed look.
"That was one time, and said I was sorry!" She whined.
"Yeah, yeah. Goodnight Yex." he lazily waved at her over his shoulder as he left to head towards his bedroom.

Be the Sun - LA: Rush the Stage (2022)
Summary: It's finally the LA stop of the Be the Sun Tour and Yexi has an experience she never thought would happen.

Yexi sat at the bottom of the bleacher by Jeonghan while everyone was going through their ending ment with carats. Her microphone was laying by her feet while she rested her chin on his knee since he was a single step above her. She always had a lot of fun at the LA concerts every time they've had them here and she was glad that these fun times with Carats were able to take place of some of her more depressing memories of the place. She felt Jeonghan's hand on her head and shifted her eyes to look up at him.
"You okay? You look lost in your thoughts." he ran his fingers through her hair while looking down at her with warm eyes.
She nodded, "Yeah. Just feeling thankful to you guys and carats." Jeonghan's grin grew and he leaned forward to ruffle her hair as a loving gesture knowing full well she'd whine about it. Yexi swatted at his hand even after he moved it.
She pointed her finger at him, "you still have one good arm I can hit Han."
"Children, care to share with the class?" Joshua's voice filtered through the in-ears they were both wearing. Yexi turned her body to look at him with an bright smile.
"Actually yes!" Yexi pushed herself into a standing position and walked over to where Mingyu was standing causing the fellow '97 liner to look at her confused. "Mister walking thirst trap over here is trying to take over all my fans and I'm offended." the entire arena broke out into laughter.
"Ooooh. Mingyu is bad." Seokmin whispers into his mic in English.
"I work out too but I don't see anyone drooling over me. Is it because of the sheer top?" she walked over to the side of the stage to look at carats with her hands on her hips, "Do I need a sheer top to get my fans eyes back on me?"
"Whoa whoa whoa. Stop." Seungcheol walks towards her with his hand out in a stopping gesture. "you don't need that."
Carats in the arena booed at Seungcheol for those words causing half the members to collapse in laughter, "BUT I HAVE ABS TOO!" Yexi lifted the bottom of her shirt up to show her stomach and the light outline of her abs causing the entire arena to start screaming and chanting her name. "Do you hear that Cheol? Our Carats have spoken!"
"Alright." he turned to look at the other members, "let's lock her up until she's 30?"
"Ya!" she started running seeing Joshua and Mingyu rush after her. You could hear her giggles echoing throughout the arena despite all the cheering, "If you lock me up I have years worth of blackmail material on every single one of you. Some more than others." she gave a direct glare at Mingyu with the last statement causing the man to come to a complete stop. "Momma Hong tell your son to stop being mean!"
This caused all of the boys to collapse in laughter on the stage, including Joshua. "I'm not afraid to go find your mom." she raised an eyebrow at him as if daring him to test her.
"Alright, that's enough. Both of you." Seungcheol shook his head smiling at their antics. "I think now it's time to let Carats know that this is our last song before we end this night with all of you." As he finished his sentence Aju Nice blared from the speakers causing all the members to go towards the edges of the stage to hype up the crowd.
Yexi jumped up and down and tried to get the fans to jump with her. When Yexi saw Wonwoo bend down to wave at fans she draped herself over his back wordlessly asking for a piggy back ride. He stood up and hooked his arms under her legs and carried her around the stage until it was time for the group to get together and do some of the choreography. It was on the way to her spot when she noticed the guy that was coming up the stairs to the stage. Thinking that security would handle it, she turned her attention back to the choreography, only for a pair of arms to wrap around her.
Yexi jumped and turned in surprised while attempting to brush the guys hands away that were trying to touch her. Seungcheol and Jun were in front of her within only a few seconds of the entire thing taking place. "You need to leave." Seungcheol's deep voice was like ice. Meanwhile Jun was talking with the security guard that had come up the stairs to remove the fan who had rushed on stage.
Yexi jumped when she felt an arm wrap around her shoulders, she sighed in relief seeing that it was only Jeonghan. Chan gently pried her mic out of her shaking hands and held on to it so she wouldn't drop it. Jeonghan pulled her into a hug, "Yexi-ya." he whispered, his heart hurting over the fact that the girl was shaking all over.
"Yexi." Seungcheol's voice pulled her attention from Jeonghan, "are you okay?" his eyes were doing a quick run over of her body to make sure there wasn't anything more to what happened.
She nodded, "I'm fine. Just need the adrenaline to chill out." she gave a weak smile hoping that he'd let it drop. She didn't want to worry her members nor the fans, so she pushed through the rest of the song and did her best to keep a smile on her face through the final ending ment. There wasn't a single moment that she was alone, all the members were taking turns swapping out and joking around with her. She would have enjoyed it even more if she hadn't been distracted.
At the end of the show and as soon as the LED screens came down Seungcheol was off the stage and heading towards the green room. Yexi turned and looked for Josh but he was already trailing after Seungcheol trying to get him to talk. "Meimei" the voice made Yexi turn to look at the only two people who called her that. Minghao pulled her into a tight hug with Jun standing beside him looking at her with worry, "If only I had, had my nun-chucks." Minghao mumbled against her hair causing Yexi to giggle softly.
The three looked toward the green room after hearing Seungcheol yelling, they looked back at each other before rushing to the room to see Seungcheol glaring at Joshua who was trying to calm him down. "Are you telling me that you're okay with that?!"
"Don't put words in my mouth." Joshua warned him, "I'm just as mad as you are but going on a tirade isn't going to help."
"They let someone touch her Shua!"
Joshua's face softened a bit at his words "I know, but she's okay and that's the most important thing."
"She should have never been put in that situation to begin with!" Cheol yelled again.
"Hyung you already scared both the guy and the security--"
"Good." he grumbled.
Jun figured now was a good time to make her presence known so he leaned toward Yexi's ear, "Go ease his mind. Show him you're okay, he won't calm down otherwise."
Yexi cleared her throat, "Oppa." she said softly. Even though her voice wasn't that loud all the members turned to look at her and Seungcheol was already walking towards her. He wrapped her in a tight hug and rested his chin on the top of her head. The rest of the members slowly started to break away into groups leaving the two of them standing alone, "Its not your fault you know." she mumbled against his shirt.
He pulled away enough to look down at her, "It still shouldn't have happened. Someone should have noticed him before he ever got to you."
"Oppa he literally ran to the stage and ran up to me, we were all dancing and concentrating on the fans. I'm fine, i promise." she gave him a reassuring smile which made him sigh but he pulled her back in for another hug before releasing her.
"Yexi-ya!" a woman's voice carried through the room. She turned and saw Joshua's mother rushing towards her and fussing over her causing the girl to blush, "Are you okay? Where is that kid?" his mom started to look around for a manager Yexi presumed.
"Mom its okay, really. I'm fine. No worse for wear." she gave Mrs. Hong a bright smile.
"Well still," She said looking at all the other members before looking back at Yexi, "I really want to talk with your manager about what happened."
Yexi made eye contact with Joshua and tilted her head towards his mom while she was searching around for the manager, "Mom, let's go out to eat. What do you feel like eating?" He wrapped his arm around his mom and gently lead her away.
Seungcheol stepped up beside her while rubbing her back, "Wanna eat with me an Jeonghan in our room?"
Yexi shook her head, "No thank you. I think i'm just gonna eat and go to bed once we're back at the hotel."
"Alright, but if you change your mind you're always welcome." he dropped a quick kiss on the top of her head, "Don't leave without someone with you okay? I need to go talk to our manager." Yexi nodded and gave him a small wave when he glanced back at her before turning down a hallway and disappearing from view.
Yexi noticed that a lot of her members had already changed and were packing up their stuff to head back to the hotel. She looked over to the corner that she knew Minghao was keeping his bag and saw him zipping it up. She walked over and grabbed the bottom of his shirt between her fingers and tugged on it a few times to get his attention. He turned to look behind him and smiled when he saw Yexi, "You ready to go?"
"Ge, can you sleep in my room tonight?" she mumbled not able to make eye contact with him. Usually Yexi had no problem rooming by herself and would occasionally have someone sleep in her room if they stayed in her room too late, but this time was different. She needed someone that would stay with her but not ask if she was okay multiple times or be watching her like a hawk and the one person she knew that wouldn't do that would be Minghao.
"Of course, let me tell Wonwoo that--"
"No!" she cut him off loudly making him jump in surprise, "Sorry, i just want it to stay between us. I just need someone with me but i don't want to worry anyone or be asked a bunch of questions."
"Okay, okay." he lovingly pet the top of her head, "let me just sneak some clothes out and then i'll meet you in your room. Wanna walk to the van with me?" Yexi nodded, "do you need to change?"
Yexi shook her head, "I just wanna leave."
Minghao nodded in understanding, "Okay then go grab your stuff and we'll take the first van out."
Yexi walked away feeling thankful that Minghao was able and was willing to give her what she needed right now without asking prying questions. She bent down to zip up her bag and rush to meet Minghao at the door where he was waiting.
Summary: it's Seventeen's first Dream Concert but nothing goes as expected.

"Why couldn't the dream concert be indoors? It's so hot." Yexi whined as she followed the others to line up and give their greeting to the staff that was around for the mic check. After the greeting she groaned feeling the sweat already starting to bead at the back of her neck. She cursed at herself for not bringing a hair tie with her because she's sure that if she was able to tie up her hair that she would have some sort of relief from the heat.
Mingyu heard her groan and looked over to her, "What's wrong?"
She looked at him and huffed, "It's hot."
"It's just a run through so it shouldn't take long. At least the concert isn't until tonight." he pointed out.
"Tha--"
"Seventeen take your places." a voice echoed through the speakers.
"Fighting." Mingyu said in encouragement before the two bumped fists and went to their starting spots at opposite sides.
Yexi wiped the sweat that was already starting to trail down her temples before slipping her in-ears in and adjusting the headset mic to a more comfortable position. It only took a few seconds before the mic started returning back to the original place, her sweat causing the headset to glide a little to the right. Deciding to just deal with it she got into position. The voice in her ear counting down until the music started.
Even though Yexi wasn't putting her all into the choreography she couldn't help but start to feel like her movements were sluggish. She pushed herself a little bit harder just to be able to match with the other members lax dancing. She welcomed the break once it was her time to wait off to the side and she used the bottom of her shirt to wipe at the sweat currently pouring down her face. She could see that the other members were also sweating but no one seemed to be struggling like she was.
She only barely controlled her groan once it was time to get back out and dance. She wasn't looking forward to the last burst of energy she would needed towards the ending of the song. It was only after standing up from her crouch that she knew something wasn't quite right. She could no longer hear the music in her ears, just a whooshing sound. Yexi tried to shake herself out of it but she never got the chance, no one noticed anything was wrong until she was already falling to the ground. Minghao had done his best to catch her once he realized what was happening but he wasn't able to make it to her before she hit the ground.
Jeonghan was already yanking out his in-ears once he felt the stage jolt only to see Yexi laying motionless on the ground. Some of the members were confused once the music stopped and started trying to figure out why. It only took a moment for the cause to be known as already half the members were currently hovering over Yexi with Joshua calling out for their manager.
Seungcheol scooped her up from the ground and asked the manager to have the medic meet them in their assigned tent. four of the members headed straight for the fold out table and quickly cleaned it off not caring about half opened drinks or phones, everything hit the ground and was kicked to the side within seconds allowing Seungcheol to gently place Yexi on top. All the members did their best to keep calm but this was the first time Yexi had ever passed out.
"Hyung, is she going to be okay?" Chan asked softly from off to the side with.
"I don't know Chan but i'm sure she's fine. She probably just got over heated." Seungcheol said without taking his eyes off her. He wiped her drenched bangs away from her face and looked relieved when he heard his manager letting in the medic. All of the members backed up except for Seungcheol who only took two steps to the side putting him directly behind her head.
"Your manager said she fainted on stage?"
Seungcheol nodded, "Yeah."
"Has she eaten anything today?" The medic continued to look at her vitals while he waited for someone to respond. The teams manager had redirected the fan to blow directly on to Yexi hoping it might help the girl cool off some.
"Uh, she had some kimchi fried rice and a banana on the way here." Soonyoung answered since he was in the van sitting right beside her on the ride to the venue that morning.
"Has she drank anything to keep her hydrated today?" The medic put his stethoscope back into the bright orange bag before pulling out a thermometer.
"Yeah she was drinking water on the way here and had started another bottle before she went on stage." Joshua answered.
The medic frowned at the reading on the thermometer and tested her again only to look even more confused, "Well I don't think she was overheated because her internal temperature isn't showing any signs of it. You've said she ate and drank, so i don't think its either of those." He turned to look at the boys all standing around. "Did she sleep at all?"
"Yeah, she got plenty of sleep." Minghao answered since the two of them had been watching tv together the night before.
"I only have the basic equipment here and since I can't see anything that would have caused it my advice would be for her to have a follow up with her physician once she wakes up. If she doesn't wake up within the next 15 minutes I would --" Yexi's whimper cut him off. The medic look toward the manager, "What's her name?"
"Wang Yexi." Seungcheol replied.
The medic turned to the girl and leaned over her a bit so she would be able to see him, "Yexi? Yexi can you hear me?"
"Stop yelling you're talking too loud." she mumbled in Chinese bringing her hand to her head.
The medic looked at the manager confused, "She doesn't speak Korean?"
"She does, but she's Chinese." Seungcheol waved over Jun, "We have a member that also speaks Chinese."
"Xinyi?" Jun called causing the girl to whimper in response.
"My head. My heard hurts so bad, what happened?" Yexi asked in English causing the Medic to look even more confused. If the situation wasn't so tense some of the members probably would have laughed at his reaction.
Without being prompted Joshua stepped closer to Yexi and grabbed her hand, "Hey princess, welcome back" he spoke softly, "other than you head does anything else hurt?"
Yexi started to sit up and both Seungcheol and Joshua grabbed her arms and supported her the best that the could until she was sitting straight up, "Shua" the girl whimpered, "what happened?"
"You passed out during mic check."
"Oh." she whispered and looked around the tent and saw all the members crowded around each other towards the back.
The medic cleared his throat to grab their attention, "Ask her how she was feeling before she passed out."
"You've been switching languages, do you think you can handle Korean right now?" he gave her a fond encouraging smile.
"I think so, i just need my brain to finish booting or whatever. I understand it well enough right now but I don't know about speak it yet. Will you help me if I struggle?"
"Of course." he looked over at the medic, "She says she'll try with Korean but if she struggles with anything we'll help translate." Joshua motions between himself and Jun.
"Hello, i'm a medic with the venue. Can i ask you a few questions?" Yexi nods and he continues, "Do you know what today's date is?"
"Uh..." she glances over at Jun in panic, "I can't think of the words in Korean but its May 2015."
"She said it's May 2015." Jun translates to the medic and a collective sigh can be heard throughout the tent.
"Good." the medic smiles at her, "Can you tell me what you did this morning?"
Yexi's eyebrows furrowed, "I woke up, ate, and then we came here for the dream concert."
Joshua was the one to partially translate this time, "She woke up, ate, and then came here for the concert."
The medic nodded and seemed satisfied with her answers, "I'm sure you can answer this one but can you tell me your name?"
The girl giggled softly, "Which one?" the tent broke out into relieved chuckles.
"The one I use is Yexi, but I can give you the others if you like."
The medic gave a chuckle, "No that's okay, I think you're okay. Like I was telling your manager earlier I'm not sure what caused you to pass out. It could have been the heat that triggered it but you're not overheated, you ate, and you've been hydrating. My suggestion is to go to your primary doctor and have them run some tests to see what might have caused it."
Yexi bowed a little in thanks, "Thank you for taking good care of me."
"Of course. Good luck with the concert." The medic packed up the rest of his bag and left.
"For the love of god don't ever do that to us again." Seungcheol pulled her against him tightly.
"I'm pretty sure you took off a few years of everyone's life." Minghao added.
"I'm sorry." her voice was muffled against her leaders shirt. She could feel the occasional tremors that ran up his body and it caused a pressure in her chest and prickling against her eyes. "I'm so so sorry." she gripped Seungcheol just as tightly. As soon as the two let go the rest of the members took their turns giving her a light mock scolding and tight hug.
Yexi was leaning against the mirror lightly massaging her knee when Hoshi walked into frame, "Tender?"
She hummed in agreement, "I'm just not part of the strong knees club." she joked.
The choreographer came up beside her, "Did you not bring your knee pad?"
The girl shook her head, "No, I was in a rush and forgot it."
"Hey Jun Hyung, will you go grab some ice for Yexi?" The taller boy gave the performance leader a thumbs up and left the room.
"Why don't you sit for a bit and ice it, don't push your knee." the choreographer pointed at her with a light scold and she laughed promising that she wouldn't.
Minghao walked over and dropped down beside her and tucked her over grown bangs behind her ears and he jerked in surprise seeing the staff standing there with the camera, "Hi Carats!" he waved at the camera causing the girl to look over and notice the staff as well.
"Our princess has tender knees and this choreo is kinda rough on the knees so she's supposed to be wearing her brace but she forgot." he lightly flicked her forehead in jest.
"Ya! It's not like i did it on purpose." She pouted.
"Some ice for our meimei." Jun walked into frame with a bag of ice wrapped in a paper towel. He crouched down by her knee and gently placed it there. She gave him a warm smile in thanks causing the boy to coo at her and pinch her cheeks.
"I think you forgot something." a deep voice said walking into frame. Wonwoo reached out and held her knee brace in his hand, "You left it by the door.
The girl visibly perked up and grabbed it excitedly from his hand, "Thanks Oppa! Now I don't have to sit out." The girl went to pull on the brace but was stopped by Minghao's hand.
