The main cover art of TLJ comics issue #5 by Paolo River looks like a callback to the Mara Jade and Luke cover art of Star Wars: Union 1-4 by Duncan Fegredo (2000, Dark Horse).
I'm not expecting to see Mara Jade in IX since that doesn't make sense, but it's quite fascinating to find the cover art callback. Mara Jade was also tasked by Palpatine to kill Luke, just like Kylo was commanded by Snoke to execute Rey with the cruelest stroke.
