SWAPMEAT next playtest due out soon for the co-op roguelite third-person shooter game for Linux, Mac, and Windows PC. Thanks to the nonstop creativity of developer One More Game, they’re at it again. Coming once again to Steam. Big news for all you Meat Scientists out there. The independent developer has announced the dates for the SWAPMEAT next playtest, running from March 6 - 12th. This is also your chance to jump into the latest build of the totally normal (but totally not normal) co-op roguelite third-person shooter for Linux. Where you swap body parts with alien weirdos to steal their abilities. What’s New in This Juicy Update?
This build brings in a whole load of meaty goodness, including new enemies, a brand-new planet, and a deeper dive into the weird and wonderful world of Rangus Meats. Here’s a taste of what’s coming:
New Factions – Say hello to the Mutants and Aliens, two all-new enemy factions packed with four unique enemy types each. Blast them into chunky bits, steal their leftovers, and use their DNA to power up with bizarre new abilities.
A New Planet to Plunder – Rangus Meats has found another world to harvest, and this time, it’s a Mutant homeworld crawling with danger. In the ext playtest, even the most battle-hardened SWAPMEAT Meat Scientists will find this planet a tough cut to carve.
Story Progression – The lore thickens! Founder Carl Rangus now hands out Employee Rewards, while tracking your progress, unlocking new areas and latent powers. Climb the corporate meat ladder due to earn your badges of honor.
Mutated Abilities – It’s time to experiment! This update also lets you mix and match fire, ice, slime, electric, and kinetic damage types to different body parts. Go wild with custom builds while creating the most absurd (and deadly) combinations.
