For perspective on my last post about this Elton cardigan. On the left is the point where the pattern says to join for the underarm. On the right is where I will biologically need to join for the underarm. Even with heavy blocking, there’d absolutely be no way I could put an arm through the sleeve of the original directions. Ok. So after deciding against the blue multi yarn, I ripped this #eltoncardigan back and started again. Because I have narrow shoulders, I went down a pattern size ... and it literally tells me that after knitting 4.75 inches from the shoulder “seam”, downward, I should join all pieces and work in the round. I don’t know about you, but there’s no freakin’ way an adult woman with boobs can fit into a sweater with a 4.75” armhole.
