" @swiatelko i am feeling very attacked right now. I AM THE MAIN CHARACTER I NEED TO STAND OUT."
how often does your muse think about death? for your sg verse !!
Symbol Headcanon Questions | Accepting
Star Guardians in general are intimately acquainted with death — whether a teammate’s or their own. Ahri is no exception. The vulpine has already experienced more than her fair share. She nearly shattered from losing Rakan, Xayah ( and… she had assumed Neeko ) the first time. An experience surely repeated save should she precede them.
Though, that’s far from the shadows dancing at the edges of psyche.
Official artworks and short stories hint at darker truths. Riot doesn’t directly address them, and it is pretty clear why. They’re aiming for younger audiences… which makes certain things not exactly age appropriate. Hence, them being skimmed over.
My thoughts are drifting to the scene where Akali is in the midst of that destroyed, uhh, I think it was a mall. People, innocent people, definitely died. Not good deaths either.
And though this particular incident wasn’t Ahri’s fault? You can’t tell me similar occurrences weren’t. Attacks miss. They get deflected. All's well and good out amongst the stars or on some desolate planet. But… a lot happens in Valoran City, where there is literally zero room for error. Not to mention some of the monsters they fight end up needing a magical nuke to bring down.
Yeah. Not good.
Back to the actual question. How often does Ahri think about death? Seldom in terms of purposeful, conscious thought. It’s something creeping into the world of dreams. Nightmares most nights. Waking up screaming, drenched in cold sweat or both. Avoiding sleep altogether just to make it stop.
Precious few people know.
░ @swiatelko ➺ specific muse starter call.
it takes very little to piss her off, really. she's part of this group – a group she barely tolerates. she's forced to do heroic shit. (but do any of them actually follow through?) and maybe she wouldn't hate it so much if she could do things her way, but there's always that damn annoying voice in her ear calling the shots. half the time she ignores it.
these days, her annoyance comes in the shape of pep and pink. she's been assigned to hang around lux, learn what it means to be ‘one of the good guys’ – but did it have to be her? all it took was laughter … that high pitched, bubbly laughter. immediately she became annoyed and in an instant, visi went from walking beside lux to going invisible and bumping her shoulder into the other while escaping past.
but she knew she couldn't evade forever. narrowed gaze falls on the other as she entered the break room. visi had been leaning back, tilting her chair while one boot used the edge of the table to push her back. as soon as she made eye contact, her head tilts back at the same angle of the chair, as though to challenge the other.
❝ sorry, ❞ she murmurs, though there's nothng sincere in her tone or the way she gives the slightest shoulder shrug. ❝ something came up. ❞
lux's light + emma's diamond form = a disco ball
it’s actually a pretty sight. and lethal af. example above, emma and iron man. i love them sm. she needs more contacts to fight alongside with like this 💎✨
sg!lux shows sg!jinx the snowman dance trend. " would you like to do it with me? girls usually do it with their boyfriends, but also with their best friends! and you're my best friend... " she doesn't yet know she's in love with jinx.
❛ ---------------- y` realize i got like , two left feet , right ? ❜ furrowed brow creases further and further the longer jinx stares at the screen in the other's hand. single brow slowly starting to arch as hands end up gripping at hips. ❛ an` whaddya mean , " girls usually do it with their boyfriends ? " what's stopping us from doing it , huh ? ❜
crown tilts in shorter's direction before hues rolled softly and a light sigh parts lips. FINE ; she'll wrangle this bit of embarrassment this time around. BUT ONLY BECAUSE ITS HER ASKING. had the same question fell from the lips of ahri or the like , chances are it would have been a resounding NO the minute they stopped talking. but for lux ? for the literal starlight itself ? the closest thing to a true best friend out there ?
❛ yer not gonna record this , are you ? ❜ question thrown out into the void as lids lower and another sigh ends up flaring nostrils. ❛ i might USE tik - tok , but i ain't trying to be VIEWED on it ------- ❜ a pause ; a beat. ❛ FINE , FINE , FINE. before you go throwin` that lost puppy look at me again. which is fucking cheating , by the way. anyone ever tell you that ? [...] you better not laugh if i end up tripping over my own feet over there. ❜
pew pews light at emma!!
turns her body to diamonds. " i told you we make a good team, darling. you've turned me to a mirror ball. "
𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐈𝐒 𝐎𝐃𝐃, 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐞𝐰. a hand extended with this smile — a bit loopy, a bit spaced out, a bit insane. nothing lux finds particularly new ; it’s a face expression she knows, but not in this context — not when music is being heard from the distance & not when jinx’s agile legs are so so so eager to move, and despite all the teachings — savoir vivre, etiquette — and countless ballrooms visited, banquets attended — lady crownguard finds herself hesitant. the wild, excited look in jinx’s feline eyes & her toothy grin with fangs pointing make lady of luminosity intimidated, like her own body suddenly forgot how to bow prettily upon accepting one’s hand, how to move with the rhythm, and her feet feel like glued to the marble parquetry. so unusual. how to… “i- ah—” a stutter as the lightweaver attempts to decline the invitation with a futile attempt to take a step back, but the music is lively and so is jinx — so fun to be around, & it’s so comforting to spend time with her, as if the heavy weight is suddenly lifted from the aristocrat’s arms and put aside. oh, jinx is so exciting and spontaneous and all things magnetic and thrilling, and before lux can even register it, her palm is moving on its own accord, placed atop clawed hand. “i’m not a good dancer,” she warns, because tunes heard from the city square sound unfamiliar — simple and dynamic, with an upbeat melody, so unlike violin etudes and piano sonatas lady crownguard is used to dance to, but she smiles — awkwardly, timidly — and lets the other lead, the dance &the way to discovering how bright and free a life can be.
The music in the distance was not the same as the stomping, swirling, spin-around-until-you-projectile-vomit music of Zaun. Even so, there was a certain rumbunctiousness and fast pace to it. It certainly did not sound like the slow, melodic, fall-asleep-while-standing music that the fancy choir with its quite ironic name played. The only reason Jinx was able to listen to the Illuminators at all, though be it in secret with a cloak, concealing her long, cobalt blue braids, was because Lux had a beautiful voice.
The excitement from hearing the music in the distance, the invitation to dance was impossible to ignore. Jinx had completely forgotten what Lux and she had originally planned to do today. It had become increasingly unimportant. Her tail twitched, her ears swivelled, and her legs bounced. Without any hesitation, she practically leapt in front of the young Crownguard and offered her hand. Her stance felt like a mockery of a blend between that weird fencer lady she had spotted and how someone in a ball might ask for a dance. Her grin was a touch loopy, exposing one of her impressively big canines behind soft, pale lips. Her purple eyes glowed in excitement.
"Come on, Sparks!", Jinx called, "Dance with me! Or does the little Madam need a bow and a courtesy first?" She performed an incredibly exaggerated bow with the flourishes of waving her arm around a bit too much, and her braids dragging across the floor. When Lux backed away, Jinx swiftly matched her step with one forward of her own. Once more, she extended her hand. "Come on!", she called in a sing-song voice, "Don't be a Piltie. Get that stick out of your butt."
Eventually, Lux's curiosity won the battle against her nerves. Her hand rested atop her clawed one. Jinx gingerly closed their fingers, taking great care to not scratch the young Crownguard. She chuckled at the warning about not being a good dancer as she shifted her entire weight back and guided Lux closer towards her. However, she did not place her hand on her hip or perform any similar action associated with a formal dance.
Noticing Lux still being a bit unsure of what to do, the Loose Cannon whispered, "Close your eyes. Forget everything that you learned about how a dance is supposed to work. This is not a fancy ball. You don't have to perform for Piltover or whatever high court you Demacians have. Listen to the music. Feel its rhythm. Then do the first thing, your impulses tell you."
Her hand gingerly pulled away, wanting to give Lux the space she needed to display any movement she felt like. If Lux opened her eyes again, she would find Jinx doing a strange, maddening piourette, her arms raised high above her head as her braids wound around them like they were a part of the dance itself. Her eyes were closed, completely trusting her tail to serve as a counterbalance, while she let herself fall into the music. She was humming the melody of what was being played in the marketplace.
