The Twitter campaign wasn't just for today actually! It was starting today and is meant to be every day at the same time from now on (until we get what we want or give up I guess...)

Okay let’s do this! 🍼and ✨
So it was Christmas, my sister and I had opened all our presents. It was a good Christmas but we didn’t get the present that we really wanted; a Super Nintendo. In the tree was a note that we had ignored; it wasthe first clue in a scavenger hunt. The hunt took ya all over the house and near the end we found a present it was Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. We started to freak out because there were more clues and when we got the SNES, we went wild. Oh and finding out about the Christmas my mom sold weed to get me a Nintendo 64.
I relate to a lot of characters, mainly because I’m very empathetic. Ben Hanscom from It, reading the book I totally related to him because I was a fat kid that got bullied but not as bad as he had. I identified with Sid from Skins as well. Roy from IT Crowd and George Costanza from Seinfeld now that I’m older.
The ending of Hell Bent was unclear so it's nice to see what Steven Moffat initially wrote and how it still doesn't lessen what ended up being shown. So it's up to anyone whether the Doctor put two and two together. I personally like to think he did and respected their mutual choice. Because they made it for a reason. That way the Doctor knows this was the same person (which is different than remembering and thus suffering her loss). It's easier for him to not go looking for her.
Yes, this is my favourite version of events. And it’s not the same as remembering her, it’s just knowing and getting some closure - the latter being something which Clara gained from their conversation as well. In retrospect, a mutual goodbye.
And there’s a beauty in how much remains from her, much much she truly will never leave his head. Their adventures together, her face, her last message to him. He has lost something. In fact, he lost quite a lot, this connection between all of these pieces, the connection to her. But never everything.
I'm intrigued to know if you have any ideas/theories about that hybrid theme this series and where it is heading?
I have a lot of thoughts around the theme, because it expresses amazing things about friends and enemies, “good” and “evil”. The lines have become blurred to the point where they are non-existent. Missy is the Doctor’s best enemy, Lady Me has chosen to define herself as his friend and protector of the world against him, Osgood completely rejects the idea of monstrosity and humanity as a dichotomy. And Clara... oh Clara. It’s all just mirrors for her anyways, isn’t it?
(I’ll write/gif about it more later, hence the rough nature of the thoughts above.)
The arc, on the other hand, is confusing to me. It can’t all just be analogies and metaphors, can it? Is there anything to Davros’ prophecy that’s not just themes and mirrors, hybrids of enemy and friend, hybrids of life and death? I have no idea where it’s heading, no, and I can’t imagine a way for this to work. But maybe that’s good. Let’s see if Doctor Who can blow my imagination this time round.
I'm on board with everyone else. It's refreshing to find a tumblr that's not bashing the show. I mean, I follow people that share and do not share my views because I enjoy reading what people thought of the episodes and having gifsets and whatever. But it's exhausting when people always complain about everything. So thanks for some positivity!
Thank you! I’m just glad to know that I have people who agree with me, I constantly feel alone in my opinions even though I know that’s not true! I have plenty of people who message me agreeing with what I have to say, the only issue is that so many people don’t wanna go public with their disagreeing because they’re afraid the fandom will turn against them! Also, I know, it is sooooo aggravating and exhausting seeing all these people complain. It only happens on Tumblr too. I love the show and I get really excited and happy about an episode, and then I get on Tumblr and it totally kills my mood! That’s why lately I’ve just been going on the Shameless subreddit http://reddit.com/r/shameless (Not every redditor is a neckbeard fedora wearer!!!) to discuss the episode because there’s a much more positive vibe going on there.

This happens to me all the time. There are some English words that I’ve forgotten the French for. This is not helpful when talking to someone who doesn’t speak English. I’m just like “you know… the thing…”.
Yes, exactly. And sometimes it’s the most simple, common words too. But I can just use English words with my best friend, so that’s nice. And my mum used to be an English teacher, so sometimes I do that when I’m with my family too. Or ask her whether she knows how to say it in German... or whether there’s an equivalent German idiom for the English one in my head...
As for international broadcasts: the episodes of Season 5 will be on Canal + Séries in France two days after their broadcast in the US, starting January 13th.
Thank you so much for helping us out. If you know of anymore send them our way, please. We know the International Shameless Fans really appreciate this.
